Tekkit servers font work for some reson, no servers work and all say connection lost

No I did it properly. I disabled firewall but idk about the connection going to minecraft.net

When I try to log onto a server it may have full bars but for all servers says:
Connection Lost
Internal Client error: java.net.UnknownHostException: session.minecraft.net

It takes a long time for the actual launcher to open, then there no pics for the mods and the tumblr feed doesnt work. It also says when I try to login "update failed".
