you make those yourself. we don't create them, nor do we plan to. just create a forge modded server jar, plop in the mods and configs for your pack, remove any client only mods (like rei's minimap) and you're set. instructions for adding forge to a server should be easy to come by

uhh, you can download the server files for all the official modpacks from their respective pages I believe. it's just a regular server with forge installed + the mods in the pack.

if only there was a place where you could create a modpack with everything you like in it, and even make it really easy for your friends or anyone to use. someone should totally make a website like that... ;]

I have 64 bit java installed is there something I need to do in system preferences to allow java itself to access more RAM?
if you have 64-bit installed, then it's not being used by the launcher. try reinstalling it. the 1GB limit only shows up when 32-bit java is being used to run the launcher because that's basically the limit for 32-bit apps.

as for your actual post, I'm not the best informed on the state of bugs in the pack like spawning issues you mention but chances are good that it's being worked on. canvox, skuli, or genpage would be more informed on the status of that.
as far as the redundancies go, that has been covered and the TL;DR is this: working as intended. no one replied because there's nothing cromulent to say about it unless you're one of the people I mentioned above, all of whom are asleep at the moment.
edit: but thanks for trying to get in on the action anyway. you're a little late though, no one's really left to throw punches at anymore.

i don't even care about his posts in particular, it's the general attitude towards criticism that's the problem. the modpack is hella fun but people are going nuts at the slightest complaint.
even if a complaint is completely unwarranted in every way it shouldnt result in everyone flipping shit, you can disagree without being overly reactionary. someone saying that they were disappointed in the modpack, while kinda dumb and not particularly constructive, shouldn't result in a tirade of angry paragraphs. take some baby aspirin or something dang

no matter how useless criticism is, it shouldn't be met with shit like this because it's hella childish and hostile over criticism for a modpack for a video game about legos with punching.

technically, yes it is. before you flip out some more over some dude bloviating on the internet, let me remind you of a few things:
1) people are entitled to their opinions. even ones that disgust you personally, even ones that are in favor of illegal activites like assaulting anyone or throwing people in jail for saying things other people really, really don't like.
2) there's no actual assurance that the links were actually the same person and not just someone else with the same name. you are inclined to believe it's the same guy because you already want to hate him
3) how does venomous hatred solve anything again? isn't that what you're trying to be against? why are you the one spewing it?

i didn't see the complaint as saying anything along those lines. i saw it as someone saying that some mods seem to make others a bit redundant which was met with a crazy amount of hostility which led to an overreaction on behalf of the op.
and that same guy made completely random attacks towards the op based on what? female poster spotted time to start ranting about social justice and trigger warnings even though it has nothing to do with anything mentioned in the slightest!

I think the problem here is that you think your opinion matters at this point. stop moaning about haters and playing the victim card and start proving why anyone should give 2 shits about your opinion over the millions of other opinions that exist on the topic.aside from the random banter about "you said, he said" I can tell that there is more to this then people see, maybe I didn't explain myself, maybe I said something that hurt some one feels but in the end it was not a swing at the Technic guys or the respective work ethic. I see that people want me to "accept its a good mod" but really I love the open world idea that was hexxit and I like the idea of mad science but B-team fell short of that goal when I got bord so I took to the forums to see if others felt the same. I tried my best to be honest and real when I said my peace. Like I said before "if you have an opinion people will hate you for it". though people may not like it, my OP was genuine and real, I meant what I said and I stick by it. If people could take a moment and reread the OP and try and look for the sincerity in what I was saying then I'd be more then happy to revisit the post with my complaints and solutions but as it stand I feel that if I say any thing against the beliefs of the people here I will be hated on. If you want your koolaid then drink it, if you want my opinion then read it, if you want my suggestions then ask for it, if you don't like what I say then don't post about it, I don't want you to support a thread that was not tailored to you.

Bonus is that 1.6.4 uses the universal mod... method? So no fiddling between client and server files.
any mod made starting with 1.3 does this, technically. 1.3 is when they merged client and server stuff, turning SSP into emulated multiplayer. so while you're correct, that isn't really any different from 1.5.2.

welp I have a 4 GB ram bar 2GB on each so it wont let me go past 1GB time to upgrade to 8GB
if it won't let you go past 1GB, that is not because of the size of your RAM sticks. that means you're either on a 32-bit CPU, or are running the game with 32-bit java while having a 64-bit CPU. if it's the latter, you're going to run into problems. install 64-bit java before you go spending the 60+ bucks on doubling your RAM.

he's running out of ram. OP, on the launcher, click the little gear or cog icon in the upper right. there is a dropdown labeled "memory", set this to something like 3GB if possible. if you don't have much ram in the first place, 2 should work.
