  1. I've made this site partially for practice, partially because I enjoy playing FTB. Let's get a few obvious questions out of the way:

Q: What is this site about?

A: It's a site dedicated towards the sharing of blueprints. Blueprints come from a mod called Buildcraft.  If you don't know what a blueprint is or how to use one, have a look here. Anybody can upload or download blueprints, there's no number of times you can download a blueprint or blueprints in general. There's no number of times you can upload a blueprint(although that would be pretty redundant) or blueprints in general.

Q: Ok, cool, what's the address?

        A: www.buildcraft-blueprints.com

Q: Do I need an account to use the site?

A: Not at all. You can use 90% of the site without ever creating an account. There are some perks that are offered only to registered users, such as the ability to remove/edit his/hers blueprints.

Q: Nice site you got here, but it seems a little...minimalistic.

A: Yes, and I intend to keep it that way. It's simple, it's useful, it gets the job done with minimal headache.

Q: There are only a few blueprints there, your site sucks. Why aren't there any more?

A: Well no kidding, the content is user generated. As you read this, you're browsing a user generated content driven website, and it seems to be quite an interesting website. If you like the idea, upload a blueprint and tell a friend(about the site I mean, not that you uploaded a blueprint).

        Q: I found a bug, who do I tell?

A: You can gimme a private message or leave it in the comments.

Q: Can I upload other types of files too(like CC scripts, etc)?

A: Not at the moment, in the future, maybe.

Q: How can I find a blueprint that I created on my PC?

A: Read up on it here, it's pretty easy.

Here are some sample pics of how it looks if you wanna see without going to the address:

    One

    Two

    Three

    About privacy:

The site uses https, anything you do on this site is on a secured connection. I don't track your IP or such, mostly because it would put unnecessary strain on the database and I see not reason why I should to begin with.

    Random things:

The site doesn't have any ads, nor will it ever have.

Depending on the load it may be a little slow, it's still on the "testing" list. If needs be, upgrades will come.

I do expect some bugs here and there.

Again, if you like the idea of the site, upload a blueprint, get some content going.

I'll stalk the comments and answer any questions that may come up.

  2. I have a laptop with the following specs:

    CPU - i5 2340M

    Video Card - GeForce GT 540M 2GB

    RAM - 8 GB DDR3

The problem is Tekkit Lite(well, Minecraft in general) uses the default CPU's integrated graphics controller and I cannot, for the life of me, make it use the dedicated Video Card.

I mean for f**k's sakes, I can run Skyrim on High and I barely can get Tekkit to run at 20 FPS. I've installed Optifine and set everything to low and it's somewhat playable.

Point is, how can I get Tekkit/Minecraft to use the dedicated video card.

  3. I'm playing Tekkit Lite on a public server and my laptop tends to have small freezes that make the gameplay annoying(to say the least), and occasionally FPS lag(like moving in slow motion).

I don't host the server, I'm just playing on it.

Any tips/tricks to improve the performance?

    Laptop specs:

    i5 CPU@ 2.3k GHz

    8GB RAM DDR3

    Video Card: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-540M.41715.0.html

nonSSD HDD - I/O shouldn't bottleneck, but who knows.

As a side note: What's a good setup to run Tekkit Lite with none of the issue mentioned above?

Was planning on getting a desktop anyway.

  4. What is your Minecraft username? - JunkyPic

How old are you? - Eastern Europe

In what country do you live? - Romania

Will we find a ban record of you on a banlist like for example mcbans.com? - No

What is your favorite part of Tekkit/Tekkit Lite? - Hard to decide. I'd say either of RP or IC

What makes you interested in Sweden Tekkit Lite? - The server LOOKS good. Hopefully it's well administered and said admins/mods have some technical know-how to prevent accidents from happening.

  5. This, indeed, would be an interesting and useful add to the already fantastic mods featured in Tekkit Lite. I'm not sure of the legal(if any) or technically difficulties of adding the mod to the default pack, though.

However, Tekkit already offers a personalized list of mods that one can download when connecting to a server. So, although Greg Tech would be a nice add, it would also be redundant.

  6. I can't seem to find the Spigot build for 1.2.5 Tekkit Server.

The lowest version I could find for Spigot is craftbukkit-1.3.2-R0.2-SNAPSHOT.jar

Now unless I'm missing something(and I may very well be) this build shouldn't work that great for Tekkit Server 1.2.5.

Oh, and since I'm here, can somebody explain to me like I'm 5 which version of Spigot goes with which version of Tekkit Server. I can't seem to get my head around it. And go into details. What does R0.2 stand for and so on.

  7. I'm looking for a autoban plugin. It would have to be based on when somebody griefs something. I've searched around but I can't seem to find anything in that area.

mcbans seems to fit the profile but I don't know how(if that's even possible) to set it to autoban people based on the previously mentioned offence

  8. I came here because you people seem more competent than any other forum I've come across.

I'll dive right in since there's a lot to tell.

I have an idea of a theme based Minecraft server. Yes, Minecraft, not Tekkit. The closest thing it would compare to would be Skyrim. I want to make a map limited to 3.000 blocks, starting from spawn. The whole idea behind this is that there would be 3-4 major cities where PvP wouldn't be allowed. In the wilderness PvP would be allowed. The towns themselfs would have an economy of some sort based on ores and/or services. In the wilderness you could form bandit squads to kill and mug other people.

This sounds good on paper, however, when it comes down to actually do this, it's a lot harder that I originally thought it would.

I figured I'd need a plugin for towns(Towny comes to mind) and another plugin for allowing bandit squads to be formed(Factions), but from what I can tell Factions and Towny don't really work well together.

Anyway, I want to know if what I have in mind is even possible to begin with. I'm not a genius when it comes to plugins.
