Wow. That's all that you really need to ban? It is just hard for me to believe because I am used to the laundry list of banned items from Tekkit Classic.
Basically just ban anything that's going to explode. Or turn explosions off entirely, which is what I recommend. Buildcraft things that are meant to explode when misused will still explode, but they won't damage anything around them.

Hi again. Thanks for Your answar. I have open my ports. How can i invite them to connect with me? I have given them my ip xx.xxx.xxx.xx:25565 What will i have to call my server? and how will they find it? Hope someone can help me? Thanks.
You don't have to call it anything. They go to multiplayer, click Join Server, they can name it whatever they want, as only they will see what they name it. The only thing they need to have is the ip:port. They could even use direct connect if they wanted, but that doesn't save the information.

Just IP ban him. He probably DOSENT have the attention spam to use a proxy.
But that would ruin freakachu's fun. D:

Tekkit Lite can work through lan.
If you wish to run a server though, make sure you're downloading matching versions of the server, to the version of the game that you're selecting. To double check, when you open the launcher, make sure tekkit is selected, and click 'options' (right under login). You can choose recommended, development, or manual build selection. As of writing this, the default tekkit lite server download is 0.5.7.

So, rather than being an entitled child, maybe try to figure some things out on your own, and then update the wiki yourself?
-
If you find one, report back.
(Because they don't exist.)
((Because giving stuff away completely for free that isn't crap is a terrible business model.))
-
Sorry, I think I may have gotten a little confused. Redpower lighting isn't included in tekkit classic is it?
Yes, it is.
-
Could you possibly point me in the right direction of doing so? Thanks.
Long answer: Yes, use it.

Am I missing something? Whenever I try to use the custom modpack feature, I get this:EDIT: How do I resize the image without reuploading?
I guess you should assume that that feature is changing.

With a server running, you would have to forward your ports. You can find a guide for it on portforward.com. That'll require the admin password for your router. Once you've done that, you need to give them your IP address. You can find that at whatismyip.com. They should enter it in this format - IP:Port. If you've forwarded your ports correctly, they should be able to join.

What about... real bees‽‽
They can sting you. >

That's it, I have to rant and such. Bit off topic, but my opinion here:
I'm sick of people saying Technic isn't legal and such, I mean come on! It's a series of mods that simply makes it easier for you to use them. Not the devs saying "WE OWN THESE MODS". Making Gregtech not work with Tekkit is PURE idiotic, I mean, you're patching a mod, and therefore stopping the player from playing. If you want them to play FTB or whatever, then ask Slowpoke to add a custom modpack feature. I doubt it'll be as good as the Technic Launcher one. Most of the mods makers I think are okay, seem alright to me, but the reason that FTB is considered superior is the mass support. For example; Docm and Generikb both have stated that FTB is the "legal" version of Tekkit. So not only does Slowpoke have most mod-makers on his side, he's actually got a great deal of Youtubers doing things with it.
Tekkit, I think, was just a binding of the best mods. Not a war. It'll settle down after a while but, still. Not all modmakers are against Technic, though? Am I correct in my assumption?
At least Pahimar, to my knowledge isn't against it.
I am just overall sick of this fight.
(I love how the words look on these forums. Amazing! AMAZING!)
Are you Sevadus?

Wut?
... Open immbis.cfg. Find where it says '194'. Change it to something else. Save. Try again. Repeat until it works.
-
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 194 is already occupied by immibis.tubestuff.BlockTubestuff@1be9ac when adding immibis.tubestuff.BlockTubestuff@8a2584
"This slot is already taken by something else."
So, change the item ID on whichever is being the problem. It's in YourServer\config\immbis.cfg. Open it with a text editor.
-
Yes, they're playing Tekkit Classic.
-
Yeah, you don't want to put more oil on the flames of the anti-technic torch. 'Cause this is HUGE, dude.

What's with the forums accounts not working on the platform site?
"Invite only."

Im wanting to know the same thing, and I found only NEIServer in the Config folder... when doing a search on my computer for NEI.cfg it was inside the BACKUP folder, and when I opened it with notepad, there was no such command like as "lockmode=-1" at all....
Or, rather than doing a search, you could maybe open up the place where you know it is? In your server files, in the config folder.
-
Your alt key is stuck. Or maybe it's shift. One of those. Just press it once in game, and it should unstick.
-
Go to your server files. Go to /config/NEI.cfg.
Find 'lockmode=-1'. Change it to 'lockmode=1'

You act like it's never happened before. And who said that it would have been done specifically to conform to Technic? The fact is, an update might have resolved it (it also may have made it worse). And as he said, he was simply trying to help.
I assume more sarcasm will ensue. Leninparty was much more helpful without the condescension.
Alright, yeah. You're right. Mod authors will definitely arbitrarily change the ID's on an established mod, and he should cross his fingers that the author changed them to exactly what he needs them to be.
-
Unless the update fixes the ID conflicts, of course. One of the reasons for updates is to, you know, fix things.
Yes, the mod author is going to change the ID's of his mod, to conform to Technic. Why didn't I think of that?
-
Maybe I'm weird, but it actually worked just fine for me with the normal copied link. YMMV

dumb things
Hi, you're an idiot. Allow me to explain why.
First and foremost, your narrow definition of both morality, and the reasons for the requirement of rules, are shallow at best. Morality is relative, and not universal, and the difference between "good" and "bad" is an extremely grey area.
Second and equally important, you seem to be convinced that the rules and punishments are solely in place to make people feel bad about themselves. This is not (entirely) the case. The rules are in place to help enforce a certain quality of post. We of the Technic community, would rather like to keep our forums from devolving into the cesspool of "LOL DIAMIND 4 U" of the MCF, to an absolute minimal. This also includes people throwing out dumb uninformed opinions about things that are well over their heads.
Third, you were never admonished for having a differing opinion. All of the staff here actually encourage people to think for themselves, and form their own opinion. You were admonished for trollbaiting, and incessantly continuing on about a point that you didn't understand (see the second point). When given responses, and answers to your inquiries, you ignored them, and continued to pester on. This is why you were warned.
And finally, the 'changing avatar pictures', is not intended to ridicule (though it is a welcome side affect), but instead to teach. It is an automatic system in place by the board, for users who rack up too many infractions. The points do eventually expire, and you are welcome to rejoin the thinking class, with the functioning eyes and ears of a non-HellenKeller.
Please try to understand. We don't like when people are dumb. Please stop doing dumb things, and we will get along just fine.

Anything else that can do damage can easily be avoided with permissions. Make sure you know how to make fake users for whatever permission system you use, and have ComputerCraft on it, because the turtles are able to go through protections without it.
