I think this would be a cool IC thing. Ditch the EE crap and make it produce hordes of EU and have the start up requirements. Maybe even make it so you have to build a massive facility for it. (sort of like how coke ovens are made but much bigger) Maybe make it so you have to fuel it with plasma (also would need to be added in) and make it all stupid expensive so that even the most god like player has to work for it. This would be great in the next version seeing as EE3 is actually not going to be creative mode. I know this won't happen but it's a fun idea to play with.

If you don't want to destroy your server however, I think the turtle and nuke combo is the best way to go. Good thread by the way.

When I was messing around with force fields, I found that they cause a tone of lag. When a friend and I set one to max size, it lagged the server so badly that if forced half the people on it out of game. Set up a few on max size with timers and you can destroy a server!

That is absolutely amazing! I salute you! If your short on nukes, TNT could do a nice bit of damage too. And if you want to steal everything in a house, consider the NOVA series.

Be careful with it. I destroyed a few chunks with it yesterday on my good server. :P

If your on a server you might be able to dig through it under ground as on a server somtimes the force field does not update fast enough to prevent you from getting through. If not then I would try what danidas said. This would just be a little easier. Once you do get in, I HIGHLY advise hooking up a wireless redstone system so you are not faced with the same problem again.

If you are at the point you are able to make force fields, just use them with the under water upgrade. I know this works as me and a friend did it by accident in an ocean and cleared a 64 x 64 area of it from surface to sea bed. Set it to max size with the under water upgrade and your good to go!

Hey. I’m just going to put this out there that I am having the exact same problem with Windows 8, have re installed java about 5 times, bought a new graphics card, re installed every driver I could think of, ran in windows 7 and XP compatibility mode, and still the problem percists. I have downgraded to XP just to continue playing tekkit but want to use Windows 8 so please do not dismiss this person's request for help by telling him the normal fixes should work and telling him his first post is BS. Yes he was a little short of info and in the wrong forum but this is his first post! You help him with his problem and gently tell him what he has done wrong! You don't threaten the ban hammer on him! What is wrong with you people? I guarantee that this is the worst forum I have ever seen and that this should not happen again. Most of the people on here are very nice and helpful and I hope you don’t turn away from the forms because of this.

Hey! Just want to put out some suggestions to the server staff! First, This is the best server I have ever played on! for the first time in, ever, when I tried to trade with someone, we actually traded instead of the superior player knocking me down and taking all of my hard earned gear! Also, the owner is on often and if he isn't, there are usually Mods on to help you out. Most other servers I'm on the Staff don't get very involved unless its to ban you for doing something stupid but these people actually help the player! When I was trying to get my water strainers to work, someone actually came to me and got them to work! This is server is the best white listed server I have ever been on and will be staying on for the time being. Now, those weren't exactly suggestions so I'm going to actually make some suggestions now. First and foremost, the title of the form says that there is a shop system and whole economy network of some sort. Sadly this is not the case. I am not exactly needy for other handy work but it would be nice to get the odd thing like advanced alloys and the such in a market. Also, just a suggestion for the whole economy once you get it up and running, I would ban IC credits for crafting but not for use to keep the economy strong as it would be easy for someone to just build a factory to make them and hand out. If you ban them from crafting, you can keep a set amount in the economy preventing inflation so that it isn't 64 credits for some redstone. If you do it this way then prices can be lower and therefore more easily managed. These are just suggestions and whether or not they are implemented I will stay a member of the server and hope to help the community as I progress. You place a chunk loader (teleport tether, world anchor, dimensional anchor) beside the farm and one where the items get out put. very simple.

Apparently I did not clear things up... Those extra transformers are waste. Their not used. To me, the perfect system will have no materials left in the system once a HV solar panel was made. So that means that If you turn off the system right as a HV was made, there should be NO resources in the system. Yes you can. My current design uses chests to help make the manufacturing 100% material efficient. (JW, how did that get you wondering about chests and auto crafting tables?)

Sorry. By waste I mean that one part of production (i.e. MV transformers)Is producing a crap ton (Lets say 1 every 10 sec) then the rest of production (solar panels and LV transformers) cannot keep up and you end up with a surplus of MV transformers. This surplus is waste as it is not being used up in the creation of the HV solar panel. And yes, timers would work wonderfully for this task. Did this clear things up?

That not the issue. With that method There are a lot of wasted materials and EMC. The goal is to make a factory 100% efficient i.e. NO waste products. I have been continuing to design my factory and have figured out how to do this with NO waste materials. My only problem now is waste EMC. It is difficult to distribute the EMC so that the right proportions go to the right condensers. This way you describe it makes for an awful lot of waste products.

I was messing around with the idea when I found this post. I have calculated the EMC values for every component using extractors for resin and cobble stone + Iron to make iron furnace for generators (This is the most EMC efficient way to make them) These values are to make the solar planels themselves. NOT the other components. Coal: 479 732 Glass: 9 216 Copper: 1 697 280 Resin: 319 488 Iron: 7 864 320 Cobble Stone: 24 576 Redstone: 1 179 648 Tin: 3 145 782 Again, These are the EMC values to make the number of solar panels for one HV. NOT to make the other components. Those should be easy to calculate of even just make your self. I am currently trying to figure out how to distribute the EMC in the right proportions and have had no luck as of now. If you can figure how to do that it will be easy to make the factory. I would think that BC distribution pipes might be the way to go but with numbers this high, I don't know if it could be done. Best of luck!
