  1. I know there is other threads about this, but i could not find my answer. Lately I have been trying to create my own mudpack for me and my friends to play, and i have been getting 2 errors when i try to launch it. The most common one that appears is ERROR DOWNLOADING A FILE FOR THE FOLLOWING PACK (mudpack name). I have been trying everything to fix this problem, but i have not been able to fix it.   6. Hey all, so i've recently created a new modpack and wanted to share it with the community. I'm having an issue getting the pack to install correctly. Whenever I download and install the pack it goes smoothly, the pack downloads and shows that it installed. Thats great and dandy, but the pack didn't install correctly at all. I go to play the pack and vanilla minecraft loads up. I took a look at the directory folder for the modpack, and the Launcher unpacked the archive folder into the directory. So what it's doing is unpacking the zip like this /modpacks/Testmodpack/Testmodpack/bin...etc. Instead of unpacking the folder inside the directory it creates another folder within the modpacks directory that then contains the "bin" and "mods" folders which should be placed directly into the directory. I have tried packing and repacking the zip to see if that was the issue and I can't seem to get the launcher to unpack correctly. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully the image below helps to explain what I mean. "TestPack" contains the "bin" and "mods" folders from the zip archive Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the Forums. I looked through all of them and couldn't find a better sub-forum (maybe i'm blind). Felt like this could be launcher related.
  7. My friend and I have been working on a modpack in the regular Minecraft launcher and everything was working just fine. So we compiled it into the Technic modpack format and posted it to the Technic Platform to download it. We installed it and pressed play, but nothing happened... The launcher would disappear like the game is launching, but then it would pop back up immediately and no trace of Minecraft could be found in my processes. Please help me, I'm so confused because it worked fine on the vanilla launcher.   8. Hello, I just tried to make a custom modpack server for me and my friends. but it keeps crashing? Which I cannot understand. It doesn't help that MC keeps changing it's ways whenever I gets back to it... Are there any kind soul who can help? So i have been creating a modpack for my friends and I and i get this problem, i click play on the launcher, then 'mojang' screen pops up and loads, then it goes back to the technic platform screen. I am guessing this is because of mod conflicts but i cannot seem to figure out which mods are conflicting.   14. So, I just recently made my own modpack. Everything was going fine. I installed it on my pc, then tried to load it up. It gets to the forge modloader page, and starts loading up all 164 mods. Then, after 3-4 minutes of waiting for it to finish loading, it crashes and takes me back to the technic launcher. I have no idea why, so I need your help.   16. So, I just made myself my first modpack yesterday (YaoPack). Everything seemed to go well, until I tried to download and play my modpack from the Technic Launcher. It loads the assets and everything, but it doesn't launch the game. It just closes and takes me back to the Technic Launcher! it starts up, but with no mods/forge installed! EDIT: Also, the pack includes quite a few mods (I think it's 15). It might be one of them that are causing the problem, but I rather think it's something with my setup and if I placed all the files in their correct folders. Anyone who knows?

  18. I am running a large adventure modpack server with elements of tech. This pack is meant to be difficult, both in adventuring, and achieving what you want. Large numbers of mobs, plus special mobs make for a dangerous world, while tech mods such as Mekanism and Rotarycraft make getting tons of materials and being over powered a large task. Do not mistake the tech tag as your usual tech modpack. This pack does NOT include Thermal Expansion, Ender IO, or Industrial Craft. There are no quarries. The best way to get materials in this modpack (later game) is the mekanism digital miner (but getting enough power to your miner is another problem to solved). The best way to get materials early game is to raid castles and collect loot! Dragons, Chocobos and Wyverns will be your best friends as you go along your adventure. This server has Factions, grief prevention, chest shop, economy and a few other plugins to make for a rich experience. We have a decent player base but we are trying to get more!   19. Hello, so I am trying to compile a custom modpack and I keep running into problems with it. As soon as it launches it crashes and goes back to the launcher. I have attached the logs. The first one is with UEcore and after going through it I tried without the UEcore and the logs from that are attached as well. I cant seem to figure out what is causing it to crash, any help would be greatly appreciated! I have tested all these mods on regular minecraft outside of the Technic launcher and they work just fine. MC version is 1.7.10. This is the error above ///// I have the correct structure being mods, config and bin the bin folder contains minecraft forge universal 1.6.4 the mods contains all the mods i need, the config containing the custom configs i have set to avoid id clashings. I also have other folders such as the flans, chocolate (better dungeons requirement) and shaders which are all required by there mods in the mods folder and are NOT generated along with them.   22. I am having a crash on my newly created pack i am making. The issue is to do with thermal expansion and thermal foundation not working together or something like that... Hello, I'm sonniccub or princess rainbow sparkles (I'm a guy and no I'm not gay I just have that name because I like it when people get rekt by princess rainbow sparkles) I've been making a mod pack for me and my friends to play on (same generic story everyone has heard 1,000 times) and an error message popped up when I was trying to download it so it could be tested and it said "Error downloading a file for the following pack..." and I've been trying to fix this for a while but I've gotten no positive results from my pack I can leave a link to it somewhere in here if anyone is willing to help.   24. Hello, I made this modpack for some friends on a private server, but something in the pack is causing the ticks to become insanely long. Ive measured 500ms long ticks, while its supposed to be under 50. I have tested on a localhosted server and it says it can't keep up and has to skip 100-500 ticks around every 15 seconds.   25. I built a simple skyblock modpack. I played it with forge through the vanilla launcher and it worked just fine, however when I downloaded it to the technic launcher it loaded the vanilla game, but not the mods. I checked the .technic mods folder and all of my mods appear to be properly installed, however when I click play, the game loads and there is no forge information in the bottom left corner, and there is no mods button on the home screen. I was playing around with making a simple modpack a few years ago and I seem to remember having the same problem.
