  2. Hello guys! I need any help. Always when I start the Technic Launcher and try to log in it says: "An error occured while attempting to reach authserver.mojang.com". A month before it works perfectly. My normal Minecraft Launcher also works at the Moment perfect. 3. Hello, i have been experiencing issues where when i open a modpack, it will load up half way, and then it will just stop. What do I do?? Mac OSX 10.7.5 Java Version: 8 update 31 no antivirus software Thanks for the help
  4. I made my custom modpack for me an my friends but when i launch it, it doesnt open. Nothing opens, not even minecraft. It closes the launcher then restarts it. Here is my link to my modpack http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/code-name-midevil.600602
  5. So, I'm using a mac and I downloaded the launcher and when I open it, it tells me that I need to install the Java Runtime Environment. I clicked on the link it gave me and downloaded and installed the latest Java, and I even checked to make sure that I had the latest version and that it was working. After I did all that I came back and tried to open the launcher and it told me the exact same thing. I did it a couple more times and tried re-downloading the launcher and restarting my computer and my web browser and nothing seemed to work. Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
  6. All, The post today by cannibalvox, in short summary, says upgrade to java 1.8, use the LegacyJavaFixer, or be marked nonfunctional as a mod pack. I see the mod pack as a short term solution and would like to move towards a long term solution. Does anyone have any server models/type they use other than Cauldron (formerly MCP) as the web site has take down all their downloads and refused any support except for the 1.8 future. This means any BPS patches to bring us more current are not available. Also, has anyone tried the mod patch on their server using Cauldron? The last update I got from them put me at 1217 and while I want to upgrade I was hoping the community could provide some alternative suggestions. Thanks
  7. Whenever i try to go into the options for the technic platform, it only gives me the options of 512 mb, 768 mb, and 1 Gb. I have a 64 bit Java, and i have 8 GB of RAM. I assume this is also why whenever I try to start up a modpack, it goes until where it would normally go to the minecraft menu, then shuts off the technic launcher. Anyone else having this problem or found a solution?
  8. How long will it take before the technic launcher will support Java 8? I'm not asking for a specific date or anything, just like within the next update or it will probably take a while
  9. I am using a modpack called Minecraft a serie 02 http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/minecraft-a-serie-02.494514 but when i click play it doenst open and he backs to technic menu my java is java 8 pls help me what can i do?
  10. Hello, I have been trying to create my first modpack using the technic launcher and have run into an issue I can not seem to fix. My server boots up and gets to the point where you can type commands in it without crashing, and the modpack launches with no issues. However when I try to connect to the server I get the error clientside. Any help would be much appreciated!

  12. Hello, So, I'd like to learn how to make plugins(and maybe a couple of patches) for Tekkit Classic(1.2.5). I'm a complete noob and the one time I did try I failed miserably. Would anyone we willing to run me though making plugins and teach me how? Thanks, Syblemz
  13. Hello! Yesterday I tried to start the technic launcher, but got an error message instead of the regular screen. I'm not getting this error in my regular minecraft launcher, which runs as it always did. I was told that this error is caused by the latest version of java (Java 8), which is the one running on my mac, but I don't know how to downgrade it nor if this will solve the problem. Can anybody help me? Thanks for reading! (Sorry for any mistakes in the text, I'm not a native speaker, so it is a little bit harder for me)
  14. i have a small idea for the launcher, though im not sure if it would work like that. my idea is, to have an advanced tab under the settings, so you can select, what version of java to use, or more specific, the location of the java to use. im sure it might be much, but it would help in future situations where a java update breaks it, and it would possibly be more stable, as we know java 7 update 71 is working, and works well, it would make it easier to determine the problem, since if it does not work with the latest java, and it works wit 7u71, its a java error, and if it does not work with any java, its a modpack error. also if you need to have the latest java for banking(as i do) it would allow to have multiple version installed. and since chrome selects the newest to use, that part is easy to fix, and then have the advanced option to select java 7u71 for the technic launcher. i have no clue how hard, or easy it might be to implement, but im sure it would help out a lot in the long run.

  16. A few days ago I updated my MacBook Pro to version 10.10 (OSX Yosemite), I was playing tekkit classic perfectly fine with my friends for a couple of days with yosemite until today. When I successfully open the launcher then I start to run tekkit classic and the tekkit classic window pops up but it just stays white and does not continue onto the Mojang part nor the menu. This also has the same problem for all of the other modpacks. I have given the game enough memory and I have tried restarting my computer and re-installing technic and it still doesn't work. I have plenty of memory on my MBP so it's nothing to do with that. I think it's something to do with Java, Yosemite doesn't supprt Java 7 so I am forced to install Java 8, I don't know if this has a affect on the technic launcher or not? I have tried re-installing Java 8 and the un-installing it again but no luck. Here are the logs as soon as the tekkit classic window pops up: [LWJGL] Failed to load 64 bit library: Can't load library: /Users/Harrison/Library/Application Support/technic/modpacks/tekkit/bin/natives/liblwjgl64.dylib [b#439] Exception in thread "Minecraft main thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't load library: /Users/Harrison/Library/Application Support/technic/modpacks/tekkit/bin/natives/liblwjgl.dylib [b#439] at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1817) [b#439] at java.lang.Runtime.load0(Runtime.java:809) [b#439] at java.lang.System.load(System.java:1083) [b#439] at org.lwjgl.Sys$1.run(Sys.java:70) [b#439] at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) [b#439] at org.lwjgl.Sys.doLoadLibrary(Sys.java:66) [b#439] at org.lwjgl.Sys.loadLibrary(Sys.java:95) [b#439] at org.lwjgl.Sys.<clinit>(Sys.java:112) [b#439] at org.lwjgl.opengl.Display.<clinit>(Display.java:135) [b#439] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(Minecraft.java:330) [b#439] at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.run(Minecraft.java:738) [b#439] at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745) I need help with this very badly as I have a server that I need to run and I want to play with my friends very badly, please help me!! It would be appreciated!
  17. I tried to launch my modpack recently, and noticed that it was crashing, as it couldn't even show the Minecraft window. It would just close the launcher, starts loading in the Console, but then re-opens the launcher again. I tried removing recently added mods, to soon find out it wasn't even my pack doing it, it was any and every modpack. I found this Error after reading the console. [B#439] 2014-10-15 18:18:20 [INFO] [TCon-Preloader] Loaded properties successfully. Using specified settings. But this still did not fix the issue.
  18. I have came into a bit of a problem. I'm not going to go into full detail, if you want that, look here: http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/issue-3339-technic-closes-and-re-opens-on-pressing-launch/ I think I have figured out how to fix my problem though. I can run Minecraft (Vanilla exe) on a 64 bit Java.. kind of. I can only run version that I have previously played on 64 bit. If I want to play a different version, I need to use 32 bit java or else it will crash before I even get the Mojang screen up. Now, uninstalling 64 bit java is not an option. Don't even suggest that. Also, please don't tell me to install a different version, Java 6/7/8 all don't work for 64 bit. I have done absolutely everything in my power to get this to work all to no avail, the only way to do this is most likely to change what version of java that Technic launches on WITHOUT uninstalling 64-bit Java. And the most important thing, yes, I am using a 64 bit system with 7Gb of RAM. This all started after upgrading to Java 7 64-bit.
  19. Please help, after i installed a new java update it told me to delete old java versions and when i clicked that it said that it would delete the previous version but another window came up saying that my tekkit launcher might not of been installed correctly and i hit the button that said re-install with files, or something i can't remember exactly sorry. But i went to start up the launcher and it brought up the administrator box saying "are you sure you want this program to change files in your computer?" I then hit yes but that never came up before, but i hit the cog when the launcher opened up to see if i got more ram to use but it lowered from 1Gb to 512Mb and 768Mb. Please help me. Thank you.
  20. Hey everyone, currently I can allocate only 1GB in the technic launcher but I need more as the attack of the b-team mod is pretty fat. Im running with java 32 bit and I have 1 stick of 8 GB. Do I just need to download java 64 bit? thanks
  21. Hello! So I have recently installed big dig on my macbook so I am not playing on the same machine I have my server hosted on. However whenever i start the bigdig pack from the launcher I get these errors. http://pastebin.com/xe2xaRXB I've tried both Java 8 and java 7 with no luck. I have also tried reinstalling big dig and it does not solve the issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Edit: The error I am getting specifically is [iNFO] [sTDERR] [LWJGL] Failed to load 64 bit library: Can't load library: /Users/name/Library/Application Support/technic/modpacks/bigdig/bin/natives/liblwjgl64.dylib I don't have the file in this directory and am not sure if this is something I need to go download?
  22. Hello! So I've been pretty interested in the B-team modpack and I decided to give it a go. I was fully expecting to just have to download a file or something, but it turned out that I had to download technic and yada yada yada. Anyways, I'm pretty new to Technic, and I was trying to play Attack of the B-team when it always failed downloading and a window would pop up saying: "Error: Could not create the java virtual machine" Does anyone else have this problem? I've tried uninstalling and installing the latest version of Java and restarting my computer but that didn't work. Can somebody help? My laptop is a toshiba with Windows 8 btw Thanks!
  23. Okay so here is my annoying situation!! So I was trying to load a modpack and it wouldn't respond and never loaded and just came back to the launcher. So I went to the modpack page to see what was wrong. It said that the modpack needed 2 GB of ram to load so I went to change it. Then when I did it said I could only go up to 1 GB! I'm on a 64 bit x64 system and I'm 99% positive I don't have a 32 bit java installed anywhere....... PLEASE HELP!!!! THIS IS A REALLY ANNOYING SITUATION SINCE I'VE BEEN WAITING TO PLAY THIS MODPACK FOREVER!!
  24. Hello people of the forums, So this is not my problem but a problem of my friends. Basically he cannot play my custom modpack because he requires java 7 (really CB [Chicken Bones]???). As his computer being OSX maverics, it wants to install Java 6 from Apple (First Big Mistake [Why apple why?]). So, what I want to know and I apolagize if this is a) The wrong subforum or B ) This question was asked before but how do I either run Java 7 alongside Java 6 or completely uninstall Java 6 from apple and install Java 7 from Oracle. (Why couldn't you do this in the first place Apple?) I have been googling for about 20-30 mins and all the stuff I found was how to uninstall java 7 on a mac and put java 6 in. The exact OPPOSITE of what I want.
