  1. I've seen this question asked a lot, but I haven't seen any fixes for Macs. The launcher says "Copying OS X natives", tries to open the modpack, and then just goes right back to the launcher. None of the other questions had any help for a Mac. I'm using OS X Mavericks, if that's important.

When I start my modpack I created (Forest,Space,and Beyond) I fixed all the previous errors except "copying OS X natives" When loading up the modpack it loads some stuff then it goes to "copying OS X natives" and is at 0% and just stop there. The modpack won't start. Iv'e tried to restart the launcher, restart the loading of the mod, re-install it ect. I saw someone had this same problem on the forums but I lost their post. Can anyone help me plz? D: Tell me if you need any further information. My modpack version is: 1.7.10
  3. Alright, so I had the problem of where the Technic Launcher was not updating correctly and it was not downloading the OpenSans asset THIS IS A FIX FOR MAC AS OF May 7th, 2016! (It worked for me, so it should work for others too.) Computer specs: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) Processor 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 OSX Yosemite 10.10 (14A389) Java Version 8 Update 91 (April 19, 2016) Steps to fix: 1) Close the erroring launcher, and make sure that Minecraft is close, just to be safe 2) Navigate to one of your folders on your mac, then click on the button that says "Path" in the left hand corner (upper/slight right) 3) Click on the folder that is called MACINTOSH HD 4) Press (CMD+SHIFT+G) on your keyboard and paste in the path "Users/(username here)/Library/Application Support/technic/" with your username in it instead of "(username here)" 5) You will be brought to your technic folder. If you have anything you want to save, save it now. 6) Delete your "technic" folder in the "Application Support" folder, we are doing a clean install. 7) Run the technic launcher again and it should install fine. -------- If it didn't work, then idk what is wrong with your computer. Don't ask me, but rather ask yourself. I don't know your computer and I am too lazy to provide further tech support. I am not responsible for damage done to your computer. In technic, I haven't played for a while, roughly a year, and when I tried to redownload all the new stuff, the technic launcher stopped at 'Downloading Launcher Asset: OpenSans+', and I don't know why. Nothing else I've downloading should interfere, and I have the latest java. I'm not very good with errors and bugs, so I'm probably missing something really obvious. Help would be appreciated. (By the way, I'm on a mac.)
  5. Hey all, so i've recently created a new modpack and wanted to share it with the community. I'm having an issue getting the pack to install correctly. Whenever I download and install the pack it goes smoothly, the pack downloads and shows that it installed. Thats great and dandy, but the pack didn't install correctly at all. I go to play the pack and vanilla minecraft loads up. I took a look at the directory folder for the modpack, and the Launcher unpacked the archive folder into the directory. So what it's doing is unpacking the zip like this /modpacks/Testmodpack/Testmodpack/bin...etc. Instead of unpacking the folder inside the directory it creates another folder within the modpacks directory that then contains the "bin" and "mods" folders which should be placed directly into the directory. I have tried packing and repacking the zip to see if that was the issue and I can't seem to get the launcher to unpack correctly. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully the image below helps to explain what I mean. "TestPack" contains the "bin" and "mods" folders from the zip archive Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the Forums. I looked through all of them and couldn't find a better sub-forum (maybe i'm blind). Felt like this could be launcher related.
  6. Hi. I have a Mac running OS X Yosemite, and having been playing Attack of the B-Team for a few days now after installing the technic launcher. When I tried to load my world, it starts to load but then quickly says "shutting down internal server" (or something along those lines) and brings me back to the launcher. I have tried adding more RAM to the launcher; up to 3 GB. Still, I find that my world starts to load then shuts down.   7. I have a Macbook Pro and have re-installed Technic Launcher multiple times. I also restarted my computer. So recently I created my first modpack and I just wanted to test it out on Technic Launcher but I might have accidentally deleted a necessary file or something... When I attempt to open the Technic Launcher it opens for a second and then vanishes, leaving me a notification that says the following: The Java JAR file "TechnicLauncher.jar" could not be launched. Check the Console for possible error messages. I'm honestly out of ideas and I really just wanted to test my modpack. Help is appreciated!

  9. I attempted to run the Technic Launcher, but the Technic symbol comes up on screen with the text "Downloading Launcher Asset: OpenSans+ 0%". It stays like that. It has never gone above 0%. Please help, I love these awesome packs and I really would like to play them. Thanks for your help. Also, I have looked for the logs in every possible place associated with technic, and I can't find them anywhere, and due to the fact that I can't open the launcher, I can't click the "cog-wheel button" in the top right corner.
  10. HelloI'm currently experiencing an issue installing Technic Launcher / Tekkit. For me, I don't have a lot of space on my computer, only have 60gb. So I want to install Technic Launcher and Tekkit on a USB (Which is 16gb). When I'm at the stage of installing the launcher, I want to change the directory to the USB, But I can't, the USB doesn't show up on the "move" screen. It seems I can't type the directory nor change the folder. I even tried installing the launcher normally then moving it to the USB in hopes that it'll install there rather than the on my computer, but it still installs on my computer (it creates a new "technic" folder). I have OS X 10.9.5
  11. I got this error when I tried to launch Technic today. " Your OS has prevented this relaunch from completing. You may need to add an exception in your security software." I have NO idea what this means or why I am getting it. I have changed Nothing with my OS, or my "security software" - there hasn't even been an update today of said software. It's not windows specific, because I see someone on reddit with the same problem who is on a mac. Also, the launcher icon on my desktop disappeared after that fail and error message. ?? (so odd.) I am unable to go into my security software to add an exception (yes, i know, i need new software) but again, this has never happened before. Thanks for any input or direction here, would be much appreciated.
  12. How do i make it so the encoded patterns i make in an ME Pattern Encoder get automatically transferred to the Molecular Assembler Chamber(MAC) ? The way my base is setup is, i have my ME drive, terminal, controller and monitors on one floor, then another floor for some machines then a huge area below that with my huge reactor and MAC and instead of having to go back and fourth putting the encoded patterns in, is there a way to use pipes or export buses or something? Someone said i could use an ME Fuzzy export bus but for the life of me, i could not figure out how to do it and i thought i had it hooked up right but i didn't obviously..So if someone could tell me how to do it and what to connect what to and all, it'd be greatly appreciated.

  14. Hi, I have a problem with technic launcher. I had it working perfectly since today, that, I don't know why, whenever i touch the play or install button, it simply flashes for a moment, and then it doesn't do nothing else. What's more, if I press the install button it appears the Delete pack button, but the install button is still there. There are no crashes, no blank screens, and I haven't found any similar case. Hope someone could help me
  15. I've searched to find a forum post trying to find the same problem I'm having, it came up dry. The issue is that I can't install any mod packs. It gives me the option to install, I then wait, then it finishes, but then I have the option to delete the pack or install. I tried installing it again, deleting the pack, increasing ram, updating java and the launcher itself. Does anyone know how to fix it, or even have the problem?

Ok so if anyone can help me i will be so so happy, i downloaded technic launcher last night and downloaded tekkit and opened it up fine and started a world and it all ran fine and then this morning i opened tekkit and went on the world and i was looking through the controls and went to change my inventory button and tekkit crashed so i tried to start it back up again and all it does is stay on the mojang screen for a while then goes black and crashes, i have no idea why this is happening i have closed technic launcher and restarted my mac and everything pleassee help!!

  18. ...despite the mod it claims it cannot find being present in the mods folder. My pack is located here: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/blightfall.592618/about This pack has been verified as working multiple times on three different computers. The only time it crashes is when it is used on a mac. It gives the following mysterious error: http://i.imgur.com/RsOt7WT.png Please note the presence of CoFH Core in the mods directory. After that, latest.log contains the following: http://pastebin.com/TuUqn8GJ It seems to be a problem afflicting other modpacks, specifically on macs. Google searches reveal two other places where the same issue is reported, both here: http://bitly.com/1DyFcDX and here: http://forums.tekkify.com/threads/1-7-10-mac-issues.4895/ I notice in the above log that there are lots of complaints about being unable to open zipfiles, and notably it complains about all the CoFH mods, including thermal foundation, nether ores, and Minefactory Reloaded. What do you make of that? Perhaps macs handle zipping and unzipping files differently, and the CoFH team uses a compression algorithm not recognized by the mac implementation of the JVM?

Hey, Recently I've tried getting a working AOTB server on Mac, I've been checking through countless threads about how you need to make a plain text file called start.command with this code in it #!/bin/bash cd "$(dirname "$0")" exec java -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar BTeam.jar Then using terminal and typing chmod a+x <Dragged start.command file here> Pressing enter and then trying to run the file start.command in the hope that it will launch the server. But no avail. :/ I try running BTeam.jar file but nothing happens, I could really do with some help on this as I barely know how to do this. The best I can do is get a vanilla server running and port forwarding it. Please don't start talking about, "Get a proper computer."
  20. So decided to retry techit pack, we tried launching it, the pcs are on 1.6.4, and the mac is at 1.5, so trying to find 1.6.4 for mac, and I can not find it. They downloaded it from technic site, where you chose windows mac or linux, but the mac version was out of date. Can someone help me find the 1.6.4 for Macs?
  21. Recently I updated to mac OS X Yosemite on the beta. Whenever I try to launch a mod pack they give me white screens. Is this a known problem with OS X Yosemite or with my computer. I knew that some applications would not work with the upgrade, but I was just wondering what could be causing this. It never crashes, and whenever I redownload the packs it never works. Also wanted to tell everyone about this problem incase it was not just my computer. If this is a known problem for OS X Yosemite, when will an official OS X Yosemite build come out? JJrsk

Hello, I have created an account with Parental Control on my mac and as soon as parental control is activated, not only the Technic Launcher shows a status off line for all the packs, but also (and this is clearly the main problem), the internet connection simply stops working ... I have to log out of the account and then log in again for the internet connection to come back! It is to be noted that everything works like a breeze when parental control is not activated. To be noted also: I have configured parental control so that the url used by Technic Launcher are authorized. Have you already witnessed such a strange behavior? Thanks very much for your help Geal
  24. Hello everyone, I just created a Tekkit server so I and some friends could play on the server together. However, every time I try to start the launcher and then click on 'play' (while having tekkit selected) the launcher crashes. It's really annoying and it both happens on my mac (osX yosemity) and on my pc (windows 8.1 x64). One of the logs can be found here Thanks in advance
