  2. As the title says, can you have solder running on Windows Server 2012? Or do I have to have Linux/Ubuntu? And if it can run on WS2012 what programs do I need? (I know it is a SERVER-side thing, but I have the ability and means to host my own solder but I just need to figure out how to set it up...) Any help is appreciated

  4. Everytime I launch a modpack and click start new world it will just disappear and the launcher will open back up, read all the files and really can't figure out what's wrong.   5. Hello, my modpack was disabled due to DropBox haulting my public downloads because it was causing too much traffic. I changed it to mediafire. It disabled the modpack. I read that you can't use mediafire so I put drop box in again, it seems to be downloading on public links so I updated the link and the modpack is still disabled. Help PLOX.   6. hello, im trying play my modpacks but the technic laucher do the download of modpack and after i can´t open, the technic stay loading and after don´t load, stay always in 0%, and after the technic is off,.Please help me.
  7. As the topic states, I've been creating a modpack of my very own to use with the Technic launcher, but an issue arises with the mod Ars Magica 2. According to the logs, it's an ID conflict. I know it's possible to resolve ID conflicts, but I am unsure how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. EDIT: Nevermind, i figured it out. Can someone lock this topic or something?

  9. Hello, I'm making a private modpack for me and my friends to use and I'm wondering if I make a private modpack, and include mods without getting permission, if I could still use it without being sued or troubled by the mod developers.

I've scoured the internet, looking for ways to make the link work for the techniclauncher-- I've tried dropbox (both copying the link after exiting the pop-up after the "share link" redirection as well as changing the www. to dl. and appending "?dl=1" to the end) and copy.com (which doesn't seem to work either). Now, I seem to be the only one that has this problem; these solutions seem to work for everybody except me, it seems. I've tested the url and when it is entered in the browser, it leads directly to a download of the file. Is it an error with the techniclauncher, a human error, or something beyond my control? Any input would be appreciated, as this is a very frustrating subject.

It was created by two friends and myself. We really wanted to capture the essence of Minecraft and let it show in this pack. It's about exploration and survival. We made sure that it was challenging, but fun at the same time. No one is going to look down at you if you play in Survival instead of Hardcore. Your goal throughout the Modpack is to become the best sorcerer/sorceress in the world, no, the universe! This pack is still in beta. If you like machinery, there's still a little bit of magic themed machines hidden here and there, but not much. With huge ruins, ruthless dungeons, and plenty of dimensions to explore, the possibilities of what you can find and do are limited only by your imagination... and resources... but don't let that get you down. Go, explore the land that begs, and yearns to be seen! Beyond all of this talk of fun, and play, I need your help and recommendations. Please report any bugs you find, because if I don't know they exist, I can't fix them. I would love to hear recommendations of what to add to the Modpack, because I want it to be the best it can be. Just no machinery mods like ProjectRed or Buildcraft, those don't belong here. There are no defined goals in this Modpack, you set your own path. Here are some goals I recommend, just to get your creative juices flowing. My creative juices are more like creative Tea, but that doesn't matter Defeat all of the bosses present in the Modpack Collect all of the creatures present in the Modpack in Morph (Passive, Aggressive, and Neutral) (Definitely my personal favorite) Collect at least a stack of every valuable material present in the Modpack. What you believe is valuable may vary (Including the ones in other dimensions) Kill a finite amount of certain mobs present in the Modpack (This number and creature is of course, up to you) Kill a chosen boss in Hardcore Mode, kill multiple bosses in Hardcore Mode, or kill all of the bosses present in the Modpack in Hardcore mode Overcome a Roguelike Dungeon in one try without dying once (you can choose to limit the gear allowed, if you so choose) These are just recommendations. Make up your own goals and pursue them. Become the greatest sorcerer/sorceress in the world! Are you tired of Minecraft's same old boring GUI? Fear not! I am too, so I changed them. I haven't replaced the logo on the top yet, but pretty much everything else here is final. Here is the awesome new inventory screen! Thus far I have only changed the default Minecraft inventory screens, but I plan to change most of them. You might have also seen the new heart color and the changed Enviromine GUI.   12. Hello, I have a very big problem. I have created a modpack, it worked at first with about 40 mods, then I changed the name. Now after this, no-matter what I do (reset, taking mods in and out etc.) it justs launches the modpack when I click launch, then it closes and returns straight back to the technic launcher. Any help please, this is so annoying.
  13. I don't know how to make a modpack. I tried making one which has the mods below and I find that I am suffering from huge lag even though I have played mod packs with alot more mods installed.   14. Hello all Using some information on the internet (websites and youtube) I tried to give it a go with a custom modpack based on Minecraft 1.7.10. I did some modpacks based on 1.6.4 and "cheating" by learning a lot from Tekkit. The modpack is hidden, because I am actually using it for myself and only a few close friends. I am not doing this for the public, rather for me (and to have some fun with a few selected friends). Especially considering that a few mods would need special permission for public stuff. This is also why it is named test-pack and will be taken offline as soon as I have a few insights However, I have the feeling things in the modpack are not as smooth as they could be and therefore I'd like to ask if someone is willing to invest some of his/her precious time to point out some possible optimisations and changes I could make. The mods (at least most of them) should be either on the newest version for 1.7.10 or at least rather new. The modpack in question (client) is here: http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/rovers-test-mod-pack direct download is: http://www.roversword.ch/modpacks/v1.99_roverspack.zip The server can be downloaded here: http://www.roversword.ch/modpacks/Rovers_Modpack_Server_1.99.zip Basically the server as well as the client start "successfully" (so no hard errors in my tests). I did not check the server too much yet, but the client throws a few warnings and errors which I cannot shake off or find a solution to. An example of the lastest output would be here: http://paste.ubuntu.com/9369388/ As you can see there are some Thaumcraft API error messages (even though I am under the impression I disabled Thaumcraft everywhere I could find it), there are some missing texture files (which is omnious to me). I am sure I am missing a lot which you might find. Additionally I have the feeling the modpack itself is rather slow (compared to 1.6.4), however, that might be just the very nature of it being 1.7.10. I was also experimenting with texture/ressource packs (Sphax), however, I guess I have to fix other things first before I start going into that. Thanks a lot for your assistance and help.   15. Hello. I've spent close to twelve or more hours making a custom modpack for a small group of friends to run on a server. We're running an Akliz server, and I created the modpack inside a blank Vanilla Minecraft .minecraft folder. Then I moved all the mod files, neccessary configs to prevent idconflicts, a new universal forge .jar (named modpack.jar) and stuff into a new archive with a couple of folders. I've spent forever trawling these forums to find a solution that actually worked, but it seemed everyone was making the same mistakes and their situations weren't the same as mine.   16. Hello there, I want to delete my modpack to reset the version number. My old modpack got imported into beta.technicpack.net. Now I want to recreate it with new mods and same name, but not as the current version as its listened (2.0). Because it seems I can't "downgrade" versions (to 0.1), I want to delete it from the servers completely to clear the name and slug. But I can't find the remove button (on Technic Platform V1 it was pretty easy). Isn't it not implemented yet or is it well hidden?

My first post was just deleted before I could ask for more help :/ Anyway I have forge as 1.7.10 and all the mods I use are 1.7.10 but it just loads vanilla >-< Please help, I don't understand all the tech stuff so don't just say 'you gotta do *this* and *that* and *space age speak*' Please explain it in simple english, or even if you could/know how to fix it, fix it for me :c I don't like using other modpacks because they are always full of mods I don't use/want/need and it just slows my computer down

  20. Hello, I have been trying to create my first modpack using the technic launcher and have run into an issue I can not seem to fix. My server boots up and gets to the point where you can type commands in it without crashing, and the modpack launches with no issues. However when I try to connect to the server I get the error clientside. Any help would be much appreciated!
  21. I can't seem to load any modpacks since I installed 64-bit Java (I still have 32-Bit Java as well). I also change the memory from 1GB to 3GB in order to be able to play a modpack without lag.   24. it could be a search bar or you could make advanced search options. but i would like to be able to search only the modpacks that have the mod i searched for. if that makes any sense. I think it would be a great addition to the website
  25. I have created a custom modpack, and I like to use ProjectRed for devices in my worlds. The mod worked perfectly in my 1.6.4 modpack, but in 1.7.10, it refuses to work, and crashes the loader. Here's the crash report: http://pastebin.com/7tpz5HSz Again, I don't know exactly if it is caused by ProjectRed, but I tried removing it from the pack, and that fixed the crashing. Any help?
