    Ram glitch

So lately I've wanted to add RAM to my tekkit, hexxit all that stuff. I've been trying to add ram but my only options are "1GB", "768 MB" and "512MB" I have 8 GB of ram on my pc and I've updated my java to 64 bit multiple times, tried older 64 bit versions but my only options are the three I listed. I always have my task manager open to see how much ram I have currently avalible and its always between 2.5-3.5 in use with around 4 free, I also have the same problem with my tekkit server only allowing me to go use 1GB or less of ram. I've scanned the internet and tried going control panel> System and Security> System> Advanced system settings> environmental variables to try to manually add ram but I don't have the java variable in there
  2. So either the search bar is broken or I'm blind, I tried searching this up but there were no results. I made a pretty heavy modpack, and I'm wondering how I can bump up the launcher memory past 7 GB. I know, that's already a ton, but I have 47% of my allocated memory used up and it lags like crazy. I remember the good o'l days, when you could allocate any amount you specified.. Is there anyway to give it more ram, or am I doomed? Or am I just blind, because that's also possible.. :| Also, I do have the latest 64-bit java. guess its kinda obvious, since I already have 7GB, but I just thought I'd put it out there. Thanks, and a reply would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hello! I've been playing with Technic packs for about a year or so now, and I went to install a new modpack, the Ultra Modded Survival Modpack. When I tried launching it, the Minecraft window showed up, but it froze on the loading screen. I did some research, and discovered that I needed to allocate more RAM. I went to do this, and found that I could only allocate 1 GB. Looking into it further, I found that I needed 64-bit Java. I checked to make sure my OS supported 64-bit programs, and after confirming it, I installed 64-bit Java. I went back to the Technic Launcher, and had it allocate 2 GB of RAM, and chose to play the Ultra Modded Survival modpack. The Technic launcher went through the usual rigmarole of filling the progress bar multiple times and closing, but instead of bringing up a Minecraft window, it brought up an Error message, reading "LoadLibrary failed with error 126: The specified module could not be found." Is there anything that can be done to fix this? It seems that this happens any time I try to use any modpack from the Technic Launcher. The Java version I downloaded was Java 7 Update 55 (64-bit). Thanks in advance!
