  1. Ok well hello to whoever comes along to help, My name is SeanBod and I'm just an average college student and streamer. I am brand new to the scene of modpack making and I'm coming a cross with some problems...of course that's why I decided to make this post to see if someone could guide me in the right direction. So I don't know much more than what I have researched and online or have watched on youtube. Here is the set up of the mod folder which everyone says to set up (https://gyazo.com/a4a748524411b4be6fe3aab09a1cc85c) it has the bin folder with my selected 1.7.10 forge universal file renamed as modpack. The mods folder has all the mods that I got downloaded from (http://mod-minecraft.net/) this website. Most files are in executable jar files and some are in winrar zip archive files as seen in this picture (https://gyazo.com/80d606298662a0b95fdbcf1bc156bab6). My first thought is I can't have winrar zip archive files in there or it would be messed up, but maybe you can answer that. Then my next thing is no one ever does more then not enough items in there actual videos. So do I need to add each mod one at a time and get the config files or is the config files supposed to be empty until that person launches the modpack? Also I am using media fire as my direct download because dropbox doesn't have a free share file, and copy is going down in May. I have also changed the url a couple of times to quote on quote fix it so it is a direct link for download. And then the other question is after I zip the entire modpack am I just uploading the zipped file? Because that is what I have done, I uploaded the entire zip file which included zipping the bin, config, and modpack all at once. Or am I just missing something? Also something to keep in mind this is just some of the mods that I'm looking to put into my pack, this is just the first 43. Also that there are some 1.7.2 mods in there but some people have said that they would or could work fine with the 1.7.10 modpack that I'm making. And I also have attached this picture of all details on mods (https://gyazo.com/d13c4e58f30d29605caeda68a3542c39) for those who would like to take a look at it if it does help with seeing file types and size. Thank you for your time for reading this and taking your time to answer if you do have any tips or solutions for me.
  2. Hi, me and my friends started a serrver not so long ago and we try to make it very RPG-like, with kingdoms and factions and all. We recently agreed that we’d like more players to join us in these early stages of development. It’s a normal survival server with no mods removed so you can do everything you like, but we all build in a medieval sort of way. If anyone wants to join us, feel free to tell me your age, building style and why you’d like to help us develop this server. Our only goal is to make an awesome fantasy, rpg world and to have a lot of fun on the way. Also, we’re from Europe so we’d prefer to have only players from Europe so many people can be online at the same time. No griefers.
  3. Team Eclipse, is proudly reaching out to all platforms of the Minecraft modding community! One launcher is not enough, and may even be a little prudent to host it on one launcher only, so here we are on the Technic Platform, one of the most well-known mapping and modded Minecraft providers available. Our original post is on the FTB forums, Here. We would like to put another forum post, duplicate to the one i hyperlinked on here, but its better if i don't. You are all encouraged to do a little bit a of reading here, because it may benefit you. __________________________________________________ As you probably know, i host a modpack that is currently under development with a few people, and all is going well. However, we need more people for many reasons. This pack is designed to be a large pack with a story, a map, HQM, all that but with a twist and maybe a Youtube series. Here are the positions that need to be filled: Builder, One who can build fast and efficiently with lots of ideas. Structures should be good looking, but not over-expansive or anything.Tester, A low work job, not commonly needed that is usually accompanied by another major job. Tests quests for CustomNPC's and HQM, and screws around doing the most random things testing mods.Quester, someone with enough expertise and literary eloquence to write quests, keep them on the track of the story, and make them interesting. Takes a load off my shoulders.Player, Someone who will be available to do work with acting, as we propose a Youtube series. This is secondary, meaning that you must be able to do this with another job of your choosing.Server Manager, One of the most in-demand jobs here now, with expected reimbursement funding as soon as we get everything rolling. You will host servers, manage them, and host other things, such as a download server that will eventually give the beta release. In managing them, you will have to upload a lot, so a fast internet speed is highly recommended, equipped with port forwarding, and a fast computer as well to top it off.If you can think of another job that supports our team, then feel free to suggest it in the comments. You must have a few requirements met before you can join us: You must be 15 or older, maturity is an issue. You must be positive at all turns, even when something does not swing your wayYou must have a good background with modded Minecraft, know lots of mods, and be independent with personal issues regarding installation, playing or anything along those lines. Incompetence is not tolerated. You must be ready to do some work, and experience a test of patience, with a positive attitude at all times. We are willing to help and walk through procedures, such as installing the pack once we distribute it to you. We would also greatly prefer a nice girl, since an opinion from the opposite sex is nice for a change. We wont be prude or stuck-up about swearing, or judgmental if you have a thing for another person on the team; anything that benefits you,and the team is good and we will accept it, but you must find balance as well, for the reason of keeping this professional and organized. Shadow and I, Triage, are the coordinators of this pack, and if we give orders, you may question them but orders are orders. All decisions are to be rational, so if one of us decides to become a nuisance or hurt the pack in some way, we will call a vote, and have small testimonials followed by a final, team based decision. ---------
  4. I recently came here to get helpful admins to develop the server to a playable point. Now, it's ready, but I want some population on it before it's public, nobody likes playing on an empty server! You can either reply to this forum post, or email me at [email protected] your application. Here is the format. Although not necessary, I highly recommend using it. In-game Name: (Ex. carrotmaster69) Skype Name: (Ex. carrotlover34) Most Common role in a faction: (Ex. Miner, Soldier, Farmer, Leader) Servers you have moderated on: (Ex. Youcraft. Although I'm not looking for mods, this is if I get a LOT of applicants) Builds you have completed: (Ex. imgur.com/gallery/S0mEr4nd9mLe1tEr2 ) (NOTE: This is purely for aesthetic construction, such as castles, towns, etc.. Pixel art does NOT count.) Pvp structures you have built: (Ex. imgur.com/gallery/S0mEr4nd9mLe1tEr2 ) (NOTE: This is purely for pvp survival constructions, such as proximity detectors, clever traps, automatic turrets, etc..) Anything else you wish to add: (Ex. I hate carrots.) If I approve you, I will simply respond with the IP. Here are the major server rules: 1: Builds MUST look aesthetically pleasing. No giant boxes of the same materials. 2: No unreasonable disrespect of other players, especially staff. 3: No unreasonable RDMing.
  5. EDIT: We have enough people now, no more applications please. I am intending to host a whitelisted public server, but as someone only experience in running old tekkit classic and vanilla publics, I require some help in solving a couple issues (tropicraft moving spawnpoint, random crashes that result in unoperable server until I break a block listed in the crashlog, etc) and help in optimization. (B-Team server seems to run slower than a vanilla or tekkit classic/lite server.) Assisting will ensure your whitelist spot, and depending how you help, perhaps mod/admin. Apply to my email: [removed] It's a secondary email that I intend to check almost daily. (It won't be how we communicate, we'll be using skype.) EDIT: the reason why my email is because I don't go on these forums enough to check here. I might check every couple days if I remember, but if you want to get a faster and better chance at joining, email. Format: What servers have you admin'd on? (Do not include moderating, I only care if you contributed to the server in a way other than dealing with players.): What servers have you hosted, and for how long (if any)?: How familiar are you with B-Team server administration and hosting?: What is your skype name?: Anything else you might want to add:
