  1. Hello there, Since I haven't got any luck of finding a fix or someone mentioning this issue I'll place it down right here. A few months ago I have noticed that whenever you're launching a Minecraft modpack from the Technic Launcher Minecraft suddenly hijacks all of the available RAM which causes to freeze the entire computer for 10 - 15 minutes before I'm able to terminate the process manually in Task Manager (Windows 10). Since I have 16GB of RAM in my pc I allocated 8GB of RAM to Minecraft (which should be enough for many modpacks) in the settings shown here below but no matter what is set in the Launcher Options seems to have any effect, it straight up ignores it all together. I'm out of ideas and in desperate need for a solution because this issue makes every modpack I have (small or large) unplayable at this point.
  2. Hi everyone, I've been trying to build a quantum portal (not a teleporter, the teleporter is the one with the four towers topped with glass), and i can't seem to cool my quantum computer block properly. I had a teleporter already that DID function, but I checked on it after I tried to build the teleporter and I found that THAT computer was insufficiently cooled as well. I suspect this has something to do with the Chisel mod, which I installed after I built the teleporter, but I cannot be sure. The reason I say this is because Chisel alters the ice block in that it adds many different variants of it. Does anyone know if this could be the problem? Are there any other ways of cooling a quantum computer block that could bypass the ice method? Is there a config file i can alter to fix this? Any help is appreciated.

  4. Everyone is always talking about what "plug-ins" and "Modpacks" they use. But I'd like to know what hardware specs one should have for a decent, Forge based, 100 slot, 24/7 server. With a heavy modpack such as Project: OMNIUS. (Not much known, but it still kicks my processor's ass. Even with 7Gb allocated to java.) Top rendering, and high graphic performance would be preferred. I'd advise everyone reads the Global Rules here: http://forums.technicpack.net/forum/16-global-rules/ If you don't know, but have a dedicated PC for a server yourself. What are it's specs?
