  1. I am currently trying to host my own server for 'the 1.7.10 pack' and having a few issues one after the other, I've followed many tutorials and such but still no luck. This is the current error I'm getting on my console.**OS is 64Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Ignoring option PermSize; support was removed in 8.0A problem occurred running the Server launcher.java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetExceptionat java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)at java.base/java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Unknown Source)at cpw.mods.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.run(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:43)at cpw.mods.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.main(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:12)Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader cannot be cast to java.base/java.net.URLClassLoaderat net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.<init>(Launch.java:34)at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28)... 6 morePress any key to continue . . .**I can open the server and connect to it, the mods load but the mods contents are unusable... if I place a block down it instantly disappears and removes from it my inventory and also doesn't let me take items from NEI. Any help would be much appreciated, if more information is needed then please just ask.
  2. I can't find any hosts anymore for my modpack (EXON Pixelmon). I used to use copy.com but they have stopped and now I have nothing anymore. Dropbox doesn't work for me because it keeps complaining about internet traffic and disabling my links. What do you guys use or do you have any suggestions?
  3. Okay, so since copy.com stopped working for me awhile back I decided to get my own hosting place at hostgator, anyway when adding the modpack.zip file link to the thingy that the modpack url goes I get " The Modpack Location you entered is not a valid location." even though I know the link is working with windows and android it is downloading without problems for more then just me, so this has been happening for a while now with the technic platform first it was dropbox then it was copy.com and it is always the same problem and I'm not sure why? the link to the file is [Here] if anyone wants to test it. the file permission code is 755 Any help would be nice since this is very annoying.
  4. Can someone suggest a file host that they have confirmed WILL work with Technic with minimal effort and preferably zero cost that is not the following: Dropbox (Bandwidth limit) copy.com (closing) Google Drive (despite fulfilling Technic requirements, not recognized as a valid link) The pinned topic has so far not helped me due mainly to outdated info.
  5. Lately, my friend, TheSanctusNex, and I have been recording Attack of The B-Team for our YouTube channels. We have been finding some difficulty getting our old server host to find time to start up a server when we need to record. It led to Sanctus recording last time and it effected us on both ends. I experienced lag and he lost video quality. We are looking for a server host that can be easily reached via Skype to bring up a server for a few hours of recording. You'll be put in a "trial" run before we make our decision if you'll be our host or not. There are a few minimum requirements: -A decent amount of RAM to run the server without fear of lag -Must be easy to reach on a regular basis. Though we record 20 minute increments, we blow through footage fast in a week. -We'd appreciate it if you wouldn't interrupt us during recording, either -Nobody else can be on the server and they cannot be part of the series. We're trying to keep it consistent and it's hard to keep track of over two people. We have a server file and world already set up. Reply to the topic if you have any questions, comments, or feel you would be a good host.
