  1. Any time I install a modpack, I click Play and it starts opening then closes and returns back to the launcher screen. I'm using 4GB of memory as my system has 16GB and 64-bit Java. Does anyone have anything that can help me? I'm also trying to attach my log but it exceeds the 500kB able to send.
  2. So i made a modpack, and i have tried linking my file on several different websites, dropbox, MediaFire and Google Drive. but the modpack settings keep saying: "The modpack location you specified is not a valid zip file." can someone please help me? i want to make a server of this modpack in future but for the last couple days i have been struggling!
  3. Hey there, I haven't played Technic/Minecraft in probably 5 years or so, and I'm going to be running a server once again, so I'm just looking for some help. I don't see how to do a totally clean install of Technic. It doesn't look like it's really "installed" on my computer, because it doesn't show up in the programs list, so I can't uninstall it. If I download the new launcher, it just opens up the old version of Technic I had (last opened 2 years ago, but I didn't play much then). Is there a way to actually do a fresh install? I have some friends wanting to join my server, and from years ago I remember that the launcher would automatically set the RAM allocation quite low, and you actually had to go into the settings and change that manually. This was required for basically any modpack, because the automatic RAM allocation was so low. I know it's silly, but I have found that the majority of people actually can't manage that. If you tell them they need to go adjusting settings, they get discouraged. So for example, people that aren't good with computers, or younger kids, who love Minecraft, things like Technic are really nice, because they basically just have to click play. Is there any way to make the RAM allocation automatically increase when you run my modpack? Or are we actually forced to increase RAM allocation? (It seems odd to me, because no other program ever requires that you do this, if I run Skyrim, it doesn't make me decide how much RAM to allocate, regardless of modding) In terms of the files for the actual modpack, are there better ways to do it now? I remember myself and others used to use Dropbox, but they've really fallen behind, and I remember they changed how things worked, so it made it quite difficult to use Dropbox to share the files. How are people sharing files these days? I also remember a website that would allow you to create a redirection for your IP address (I forgot what the proper term is). Basically, your 123.235.543 whatever IP address you have, will change into something like "CosmosServer" so that you can let people have access to your IP, without actually giving them your IP. The site takes anyone looking for "CosmosServer", and makes them actually look for my IP. Anyone remember what this is called, or what site to use for this? Lastly, if you can't have RAM automatically allocated, does anyone know what Technic STARTS your RAM allocation at? I can't figure out how to clean install, so I'd possibly like to try and make a lightweight modpack that will work with the auto allocation, so what does it automatically set RAM to? Random last point, this forum post page KEEPS bashing my cursor back to the security check. While typing this up it forced me back there multiple times, forcing me to uncheck that I'm not a robot, and I then had to refresh the page to fix it. Why in the world is that happening? Very annoying. Appreciate any help you can give! Thanks!
  4. So im new to making modpacks, and i have just made one today consisting of orespawn, legends, battlegear, backpack, damage indicators, enchanting plus, and not enough items. I ran into the problem of not being able to mine any of the dried spawn eggs, can someone help?
  5. I really need some help please, it's making like 2 days I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with technic launcher, because everytime I click on play to launch a modpack, it's just closing the technic launcher sreen, load a littlebit and then it just pop-up the technic launcher screen again, I know that Java is not the problem because I tried the 8u25, the 8 251 and the 8 191 version and they all did the same error again and again. I was thinking that my graphic card driver was the problem, but I just updated it to the last version and it did the same. I also did every Windows Update and it did the same again... I would be glad to find a solution.. Here are the last crash report (log) I had:crash-2020-04-19_20.41.04-client.txt
  6. I was used to play modpacks on the technic launcher. But today i can't start the modpack. When i click on the play button, it closes the window like the modpack is normally loading. But after maybe 10 seconds it open the technic launcher window again. Here is my crash report. I don't know why is it not working. Can anyone help or know the possible fixes ? crash-2020-04-17_13.07.04-client.txt

  9. Imma let you this picture and you should be able to understand. http://prntscr.com/9nu3po <---- this explains it all And I want to clearly say that I never had problems with the launcher since the last patch ! Oh, don't forget that I don't speak Java ... so don't speak to me in Java... Use English instead please Don't tell me to get a new version of java as I already tried. Thanks in advance ! ~Lancelot
  10. So i got Technic and i thought it would be cool yea alot of modpacks and stuff ... so i downloaded pixelmon so i can play with a friend and i clicked play it loaded then it closed the launcher and re-opened the launcher saying nothing and i tried this for several modpacks its the same for all of them my java is up tp date 64-bit and i dont know why anything isnt loading??
  11. So after trying every thing I've seen online I cant seem to find a fix to the problem of when clicking play on a modpack the launcher 'hides' as it would do when the modpack starts but it then reappears within seconds and the modpack hasn't started.Sometimes when Minecraft is loading the mods java crashes when it actually opens. The final thing that loads in the launcher is installing Minecraft assets. Can anyone help or know of any possible fixes? techniclauncher_2017-02-04.log

  17. Hello Everyone! Greetings everyone, it's your pal Gucci, and i'm looking for some help testing my modpack that is soon being turned into a server. My computer seems to run it fine, but I would like some help testing it with other people. I have a server up for it that comes when downloading the pack. This is one of the alpha versions of this pack, so there may be a few problems, but that is where you lovely people come in ! The pack is called Trouble In Twawki Town, and it can be found at this address: https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/trouble-in-twawki-town.1193167 . I'd love to hear anyone's imput on the pack, including players, modders, server hosts, and anyone else that would like to help out. Blessings, GucciBear P.S. The pack runs alot better when allocated 4.5+ GBs in Java settings, so thats what causes the initial lag. .
  18. Whenever i try to open a modpack it pops up with an error saying it cant find the "main class" along with this "net.minecraft.main.Main." Any ideas on what's going wrong?
  19. Hello. I have a problem... I can't launch any modpacks I install from the technic launcher. I get a crash log with some different messages. I tried looking for help on here and other posts and the internet but unfortunately there is nothing I found that has helped with this. Note: I found that it could be that I have an old integrated video card and cpu (i3-2350m Intel Integrated 3000) that is interfering with Windows 10 or isn't compatible with this version of windows/does not have any current windows 10 drivers. I can't downgrade to windows 7 or 8 and can't find any drivers for windows 10 so that is out of the question. I would like to try and resolve this. Down below is the log and the error I get when starting any modpack. I do have the newest Java, I have tried to reinstall both launcher and modpack and Java. No luck. Please help! I found that "Pixel format not accelerated" is the main issue. 20. I'm trying to create a modpack of just some of my favorite mods but every time I launch it on the Technic Launcher it just launches Vanilla Minecraft 1.5.2! 21. I've been having some problems with technic recently. When I press play for the modpack, the launcher closes, but fails to open the pack, and almost immediately returns as if nothing ever happened. Some modpacks don't have this problem (I.E. official ww2 factions), but others do (AVP, prometheus rising). bit windows 7 with both java 7 and 8, with 4gb ram. I have looked back on similar forum posts, and their solutions, but they don't seem to work. I added java 7 to my computer, got rid of javaw, and several other thing, but it's still persistent ant about not working. Also, please note that when I attempt to open either avp or PR, it will say "grabbing ----" and "installing libraries" (which still doesn't exist in the modpack's folder) before it fails miserably at doing it's job. Please help me whenever you can. Thanks.
  22. Hey all. So TechnicLauncher has always been buggy for me for whatever reason, even on multiple different computers, but it was working a while ago and now it's not. So basically what's happening is when I go to install a modpack, it works fine. But when I go to press "Play" it loads and then it stops at "Downloading Minecraft Assets" and just doesn't do anything. I really want to play on this launcher, so please try and help. BUMP DAT SHIZZLE
  23. Hello, This is my first time using Technic Launcher and if I try to download any of the modpacks it takes a long time. I dont know what to do? Can someone help? Thank you EDIT: It just went fast again and then started going slow..?
  24. Hi, I am fairly new to Tekkit and recently found a modpack that I really enjoy. I'd like to play it with my friends sometime, but I am not sure how setting up a server with a public modpack works, or if you can do that. I would appreciate it if somebody could direct me to where I can find out how to set up a server with a public modpack, or if somebody could simply tell me that would be nice too. I apologize in advance if this isn't where this topic should go, or if this question has already been answered.
