  1. Hello, I need urgent help with this error. I have been playing without any problems for the past month, on the modpack: Pixelspark - Pixelmon https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/captainsparklez-survival-pack.15977 The pack recently required an update, and usually with this pack, updates do not work for some reason so I just uninstall then reinstall the up to date version. Today I uninstalled and could not install back as the launcher failed to begin installing and showed this message: "Error unzipping a file for the following pack: PixelSpark - Pixelmon Attempting to extract file captainsparklez-survival-pack-4.2.7.1.zip, but it did not exist. Please consult the modpack author." It also created the folders needed but they are all empty. I have so far tried, Downloading the server files from the link instead of the launcher itself. (The files did not match the default files created by the launcher so I was very lost. Changing the Pixelspark.jar file to a zipped file and putting into both the bin folder, and the mods folder of the directory the launcher created. I have thought to try renaming the Pixelspark.jar into captainsparklez-survival-pack-4.2.7.1.zip but this has created some trouble for me. If this would solve my issue please let me know and possibly clear it up a little. If anyone could get back to me as soon as possible with some resolutions that would be great! Thanks. EDIT: I have also thought to entirely delete the launcher and start from square one again, but I can not find it in the uninstall browser. Would just deleting the files work?
  2. Delete please: Wrong Thread
  3. Hey all, so i've recently created a new modpack and wanted to share it with the community. I'm having an issue getting the pack to install correctly. Whenever I download and install the pack it goes smoothly, the pack downloads and shows that it installed. Thats great and dandy, but the pack didn't install correctly at all. I go to play the pack and vanilla minecraft loads up. I took a look at the directory folder for the modpack, and the Launcher unpacked the archive folder into the directory. So what it's doing is unpacking the zip like this /modpacks/Testmodpack/Testmodpack/bin...etc. Instead of unpacking the folder inside the directory it creates another folder within the modpacks directory that then contains the "bin" and "mods" folders which should be placed directly into the directory. I have tried packing and repacking the zip to see if that was the issue and I can't seem to get the launcher to unpack correctly. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully the image below helps to explain what I mean. "TestPack" contains the "bin" and "mods" folders from the zip archive Sorry if this is in the wrong section of the Forums. I looked through all of them and couldn't find a better sub-forum (maybe i'm blind). Felt like this could be launcher related.
  4. I have created a custom mod pack and whenever I try and install it I get an error saying error unzipping a file for the following pack: (pack name) error in opening zip file Please help
  5. I've just made my own modpack a few minutes ago. Of course this being my first time making a modpack I have ran into issues trying to have it run. Link to my modpack: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/singhpack.439444 Link used for the Platform URL: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/2t8g1lgy62hd11u/modpack.zip?dl=1 The issue that I am running into is when trying to launch my modpack. It states the following: "Error unzipping a file for the following pack: SinghPackTM error in opening zip file Please consult the modpack author." Help is greatly needed.
  6. So I recently made a modpack : http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/pb-realms-reloaded.416664 and I keep getting the error : Error unzipping a file for the following modpack: PB realms reloaded error in opening zip file Please consult the modpack author. How do I fix the problem for me and everyone who downloads this?
  7. SOLVED! Ok, Im trying to set my update for my modpack and whenever it downloads the zip into the pack folder an error window pops up saying "Error unzipping a file for the following pack: Minecraft Survivalist IllegalArgumentException while parsing next element. Please consult the modpack author." I have never gotten this error before when I set my updates and I do not know why it has been occuring. i tried to search how to fix this but the results are short. Can anyone help me with this?
