I am having issues getting my server to connect. First attempt set it up and everything worked. However after stopping the server and shutting down my computer, and later starting everything back up, I could not get back onto the server. I kept getting ERRORS such as:

[iNFO] Starting minecraft server version 1.6.4
 [iNFO] Loading properties
 [iNFO] Default game type: SURVIVAL
 [iNFO] Generating keypair
[iNFO] Starting Minecraft server on 68.81.135.245:25565
[WARNING] **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!
[WARNING] The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: JVM_Bind
[WARNING] Perhaps a server is already running on that port?

I went and searched every possible solution. I looked to find why port 25565 was unusable, and couldn't find why. I added permissions for inbound/outbound, searched using netstat commands to see what could be using it. I allocated plenty of ram...which wouldn't help this situation, but I have just done everything I could think. Even tried deleting everything and re-installing. Even ended all java processes. I have spent a few hour tinkering around... Just lost at this point. I know a few people have run into this issue.  I would appreciate any advice :)

I have port forwarded. I have a belkin f9k1001 v1 ,and I used the port 25565 in the inbound and the private port boxes, I also used my Ipv4 in the private address box.

I have also done that, but when I create the server and still put my external IP address in, it cannot connect. This is frustrating, because this is not that difficult and I have done everything possible to make it work.

Remember the IP you put in for the server is your INTERNAL not EXTERNAL. For example 192.168.0.1

I added inbound/outbound rules for port 25565 for both TCP, UDP just to be 100% sure there is not issue with my firewall blocking. I also set specific IP,subnet, and default addresses for IPv4. I now added my internal IP to the server properties and used it when making the server. This seemed to of worked. Concerned using my Internal IP. Also, I am having issues with the server being allocated enough ram.  Ranges anywhere from 7% - 21%.

There's alot of suggestions trying to get to an IP/port conflict, but have you tried simply looking through your task manager and force-closing all processes relating to java? That's usually my issue when I get something like that, is there's a server running in the background but for some reason the console isn't showing up, so I have to go close the process.

Note: Process tab, not the default application tab. :)

It's a simple solution, and with you saying you restarted the computer entirerly, not sure it'll work, but it's worth a shot at least.

I figured it out. I had to use my internal IP address. I wanted to use my external IP for obvious reasons. I have noticed issues with the morph mod. It works sometimes.

The only reason you should need to set the ip in the properties file, is if you have multiple connected network cards in your computer. Such as for servers that have one network card connected to the internet and another to an internal network. So in most cases this option should never need to be set.

Hello people of the Technic community, I've had this problem for around 3 weeks now, and after countless hours of research i couldn't get it to work.
      I've got the following problem:
I've been using Ubuntu (PoPOS) for around 2 months now, and i got really familiar with it. I got minecraft from the repositories no problem whatsoever. But as i wanted to play with mods, My old friend Technic Launcher came to my mind again, so i tried to install it and play some modpacks.
      Problem:
I've installed the correct java version (OpenJDK 8 ) and put the techniclauncher.jar as an executable. Now when i run the launcher, the installation screen pops up, everything normal. Now when i install it as a portable or just normally, it creates the directory and the installer dissapears. Everything ok until now: When i try to launch Technic again, it just crashes. The java process is running, but starts dissapearing. So i tried again with oracle Java 11. Same problem. It just crashes. When i launch it over Terminal, it gives me this:

      [email protected]:/home/muenzlpsaveyourinternet# java -jar '/home/directory/TechnicLauncher.jar' '/home/directory/TechnicLauncher.jar'
      Settings for exe: /home/directory/TechnicLauncher.jar
      Portable settings dir: /home/directory/technic
      Setting up logging
And nothing else happens, the terminal doesnt continue launching, same with launching without terminal.Nothing opens , just the process i can see in my system manager
I tried and tried, i uninstalled the runtimes, 8 and 11, tried and tried but nothing worked. I found no answer, now after 2 weeks of trying, I decided to post this here to get some answers from nice people who like to help in the community.
If you like to help me, just post solutions or suggestions in the section down, please stay simple with ubuntu stuff since i am really new to linux and just getting started. Thanks for any response.
(replaced my install directory with directory because its pretty much useless for help and might confuse people)

I'm new to Technic, and I'm trying to join a server with a modpack that runs on 1.12.2, but when I open the modpack through the Technic launcher it says that I need Forge to open some of the mods.
I downloaded Forge for 1.12.2, but you have to open it through the Minecraft launcher. Which means I can't use the modpack through Forge or Technic.
I've tried looking through launcher settings to see if I could tell Technic to open the modpack with the Forge version that I downloaded. Doesn't work. Other people seem to get on the server fine. Is this a problem with me, or the modpack?
Edit: I've attached a photo showing the messages I get when I try to use both launchers. The photo was too large to attach, so I decided to use the URL, but it's on TinyPic, so if you don't see it, it's probably because they're shutting down.

Okay, so I have reinstalled technic a few days ago because I wanted to play a dragon ball mod I saw. I played dragon block c resurrection (only listing names because I feel like it may be important) and a few others mods and I got attached to a server mod, and it worked for a bit, but now, it is the only mod that works. I tried resurrection again and when I press play it will just hide the launcher for a bit and then re-open it. I have downloaded the 64-bit java recently so that may be the result, but currently no mods work besides the server mod (dragon block zero S if it really is important.) Im new to technic and forums over all, so im not sure how to attack files fully so if you need me to do that, please tell me how!

When i put the mods in the server don't crash because of that, when i try to open I don't even receive a crash log, then i go to the last try log and it says that my port is already in use
I used the default server port
