Hi guys, I have noticed issues with tesseracts and a flying glitch when players logs in. Is there someone who I can send the logs to as I don't want to post them publicly. Just so you're aware of it as we have managed to do temp fixes for them. Regards, Matty

Really?  Definitely in 10.0.11a?

Yeahs, it's definitely 10.0.11a . I was on 1.0.10b and decided to upgraded to 1.0.11a since my boyfriend spent a few days setting up the machines for the Advanced Genetics and was extremely upset the DNA Breeder would crash the world.

Edit: I got another crash, but for another reason.

It seems whenever someone goes to a certain  area the server crashes.

Do you have any upgrades in the DNA Breeder? As they have caused no end of issues for us so we have removed them.

 

With the 2nd crash it looks like something to do with your flans mod, maybe a placed item so it might be helpful if there's a client side crash report as well?

Upgrades in the DNA Breeder? Do you mean like the overclocker? I believe my boyfriend may have added it the 1st time in 1.0.10b , but when I updated the server to 1.0.11a and replaced it with a clean DNA Breeder it still crashed the server.

 

The 2nd crash is caused whenever we enter the Ominous Woods. No one has created an item from Flan's Mod so it's odd that it would say that was the cause. Client side report? Where would one go about finding that?

 

EDIT: For the 2nd crash I've found similar issues reported on the forum:

I went ahead and turned teams off like Loader suggested and all seems fine now.

 

 

Edit 2: Is anyone else having issues with Stock Keeper Chips not working? I can't get them to work at all and I've seen tutorials of them being used.

 

Edit 3: I forgot to add the Broadcasting Chip at the end of another chest; that's why I couldn't get the Stock Keeper to work >__<

Also, the crash happened again in a different biome. It says it's Flan's Mod once more.

The local crash report will be in your .technic folder, it might shed some more light on what's going on. I did noticed those threads but other than that there's not really any information on the error. We're not experiencing it at all on our end and it seems a bit strange it's only occurring when you enter a biome/region.

When the server crashed it didn't crash the client; we were sent back to the server selection screen with a server disconnection error. Either way here are both logs for the days the crash occurred. The time stamps between the server and client crash are off by 2 hours I believe; the server is 2 hours ahead.

I've been able to remedy the problem by moving the character that causes the crash back to spawn using MCEdit and putting up notices to stay clear of the area causing the issue.

 

Edit: Sorry for not being able to use Pastebin; the logs exceed the limit allowed on Pastebin and it would be better if you just download the logs and view them through your preferred program than pasting here or elsewhere.

 

Edit 2: I just realized I gave you the logs and not the crash report; I feel pretty silly for not noting the difference. I didn't receive crash reports for the Flan's Mod crash, but I do have a few from other causes.

I know it doesn't pertain to the issue we're discussing, but I thought it may prove helpful to tracking issues for this version of the modpack.

The 1st log looks like a chunk loading issue and the 2nd/3rd are due to a texture pack.

 

With the chunk issue do you know if someone has built in the area? I'd recommend seeing what munaus or loader say as you don't have any plugins to check what has been put down etc because of that I'd just zerg the region file.

Hey Mattymaats,

How would one go about zerging the region? I believe the area used to have a DNA Breeder with an overclocker.

Are you wanting to keep the server plug in free? If so you will have limited options. You can use mcedit like dweller has said but if that doesn't work you're left with removing the region file from the server for that chunk which is a fill zerg as you'll loose everything in that area as a new region file will generate. To find the region file you can Google chickenbones region finder and put in the chunk co-ords.

We had the same issue, if you can find the DNA breeder in MC Edit, just delete the block, that's what worked for us.

The block doesn't show up in-game. Is it still being read somehow by the server?

I don't mind adding plugins. I was thinking of doing so, but when I attempted to add some the sever had issues starting up. How would I got about adding Bukkit properly to the server?

wanted to say i have an issue when attempting to craft the Coffee grinder from Food Plus. Specifically the recipe that repairs the grinder.

as soon as the recipe was made the server has crashed and I am unable to revive it. I tried rolling back to a previous save a few hours old, no luck.

 

I posted on the tracker and was hoping folks could give me suggestions.

Update: Reinstalling the server from scratch fixed the issue, still don't know how it happened.

You need to add mcpc+ if you do want to add plugins, that'll be why you had issues before.

 

I managed to install MCPC+ successfully. What plugins do you recommend I add to help with the issue?

 

I added pTweaks hoping it would help, but I still crashed when I entered the area. Here is the latest crash report.

 

I'd like to also add that the DNA Breeder does not crash unless you add upgrades to it.

How would one find out the region file that needs replacing if it's corrupted?

 

Edit: Just to be clear, how do I know what region corresponds to the area that causes the crash and it's file name that needs to be replaced.

 

Edit 2: I've been using this to find the region file name and replacing it with one from a single player world with the same seed and it works for the most part, but it causes lands to look a bit funky.

 

Edit 3: It looks like replacing it with a single player world region only works sometimes; I guess since there's no fix for the issue and no one knows what mod causes it we're going to have to bar off certain parts of the world >_____________>
