So i have been playing on a public survival server, me and my friend, we built our base and then made more stuff bla bla then we got to the point we have to make a Nether portal, so i built the nether portal 6 blocks high and 4 blocks wide, and i am pretty sure the corners don't matter, and when i light it with a flint and steel, it doesn't do anything, it just lets the fire go off, i even tried removing blocks around the portal if that was the case, and also it was underground, under our base because we didn't want our portal public and everyone using it, im not sure if that's the case but i think that's why i can't light it - it's underground. heres a link to a screenshot also:

Nether portal is 5*4, bigger portals (up to 23*23) were implemented in 1.7.2 (tekkit is 1.6.4)

You will need 14 obsidian blocks (10 without corners)

Also, we can't access files on your computer, the link to your screenshot is just the path to it on your PC. You need to host it on services like Dropbox, Imgur or Imageshack so others can view it online

Upon opening my technic launcher a couple of minutes ago, i noticed Tekkit Classic had deleted itself?! So I redownloaded it, my worlds still seemed to exist. But when I opened one I noticed half of my house ( which is built inside a hill) was dirt and stone again. So half of my house glitched away. Can anyone help me out please?

      Hi everyone,
I've been trying to build a quantum portal (not a teleporter, the teleporter is the one with the four towers topped with glass), and i can't seem to cool my quantum computer block properly. I had a teleporter already that DID function, but I checked on it after I tried to build the teleporter and I found that THAT computer was insufficiently cooled as well. I suspect this has something to do with the Chisel mod, which I installed after I built the teleporter, but I cannot be sure. The reason I say this is because Chisel alters the ice block in that it adds many different variants of it. Does anyone know if this could be the problem? Are there any other ways of cooling a quantum computer block that could bypass the ice method? Is there a config file i can alter to fix this? Any help is appreciated.

      Hi guys,
does anyone know if chisel is compatible with the current version of tekkit? I know its included in other packs but it would be nice to pop it into my tekkit world so I could have more decorative blocks and such. If so, what version is compatible?

Hello, I'm having a bit of problems with my Hexxit server, if anyone would be kind enough to aid me in these problematic encounters. I seem to be crashing whenever I enter the Nether. It used to work, but now it just crashes the server, with me rejoining the server floating in an empty void with a crashing server again. If anyone has any clues as to why this is, please help out, any help is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
