How do you indicate steam in a Fluid Export Bus?

Recommended Posts

The question is valid. Is there a way to filter un-bucketable fluids, not only in Extra Cells, but in the UI for Fluiducts and similar too?

Outside of using /give I can only suggest maybe using portable/ender tanks and see if it accepts those. Fortron's (MFFS) in that same boat as I don't think you can bucket it. Neither fluid were meant to be used outside their respective machines for obvious reasons :D

Have you tried florbs?  steam filled florbs can be used in the filter on a fluiduct but I'm not sure if they will work on the fluid export bus.  Worth trying.

Plus, when your done using it to configure output, you can throw it at a mob and give it a steam burn. ;)

In the end I used a portable tank, which did the trick.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

edit - I forgot to add!  I did try hunting for a steam florb using NEI but I couldn't find one.  Do they exist and I just can't find them?

      Hey guys,
I'm trying to effeciently hook up an steam turbine...
I have a max high pressure boiler (should produce 720mb/t of steam.. but how the hell do i draw this steam out at this rate?
Best (non-effective-enough) method i could come up with is: Emerald Fluid Pipe on 12 places on one side of the boiler (12x 40mb/t =) 480mb/t ?!.... these would go in obsidian fluid pipes and those would go into 12 (!) fluid ports?? This seems really over the top right...
So even 12 of these pipes on the sides is not enough to draw the steam out... or are my calculations wrong?
Since liquiducts are not available.. or is there a good alternative??

So, I built myself a turbine and a reactor to actually power the turbine with steam. Problem is I can't seem to find a way to make my reactor make more milibuckets per tick. Cause no matter what I do... I can't figure out how to speed up the actuall transfer of water into the reactor. I always end up with like 10-100mb/t. Since BC pipes allow me to transfer maximum of 80mB/t (obsidian pipes) I don't really know what to do. Oh and I don't know how to "pump" the water so fast... I'm a beginner after all  I'd be happy if someone helped me out... It's really annoys me. Thanks ^^

FORLORN is my lastest modpack using 1.7.10
In the near future where the world has been corrupted, Gone are the wildlife, Life as you know it destroyed but somehow you survived.

It is up to you to put the world right once again but be warned it is not as it seems, plant life is almost gone, water is corrupt, the air is turning poisonous and the remaining life is not so HUMAN anymore. O and dont forget the land itself is unstable so BE CAREFUL!

It'll take all your skills to make a living in this new world!

Using the likes of enviromine and the wasteland mod gives this modpack a very apocolyptic feel along with steampunk style mods, so be wary of the caves as you get deeper your sanity starts to grow, thirst plays a big part along with body temperature and lastly the land itself will crumble from above so be careful!!

Theres plenty of tech mods here to help with your survival so use them wisely.
The pack can be found here: http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/forlon.654777

A server is currently being developed so you can help fellow survivors to rebuild the land.
MAKE SURE YOU SELECT WASTELAND FOR MAP OTHERWISE ITLL CRASH!

      Hi all,

I'm setting up some reactor since the first versions of BigReactor mod and I'd tried to keep-up with the several changes over the different versions.

I was mainly working with one passive set-up (1700 RF/t) for powering my sorting, processing and crafting system on the overworld and Two active reactor setup to produce steam to sustain some turbine in order to power some laser drills and be able to bear with 16 Quarries in the same time. It was going well ... more or less ...

Lately we've decided with my friends to setup a Mars base and to try to, as far as possible, be autonomous in term of sorting, processing, crafting and power generation and this by using ME network instead of Logistic Pipes and we all know that this is a bit more power consuming.

So we came up with the idea of setting up a BigReactor and some turbines on Mars and we want this setup completely separated from the Overworld.
I explain all that because for the beginning we used tesseract to bring power in order to set-up the oxygen system and also the shield on the base, then once this have been achieved we start building a big Big reactor based on the design of "The Core" except that we do not want to attach all the turbine in the same way that for "The Core" but we prefer to use less but bigger turbine.

So here come my questions :
Do someone know how BigTurbine are requesting to BigReactor the flow rate that they need ? (I know that we set-up the amount we want in the GUI and then it should work but sometimes, when more that one reactor are providing the steam I still not understand how the load balancing is made).
Do someone know how to ask BigReactor to produce at full speed all the steam that it could possibly produce ?
Do someone know why even by using different tesseract frequencies on different dimensions for the steam I still see my Mars reactor producing the exact amount of steam that one single turbines, out of the three OverWorld turbines, is requesting ?
Do there is a relationship in between the water and the steam request ? (because I take the water in some tesseract that have the same frequency for water).
Do someone know when, and how often, the steam flow request are made/updated in between BigReactors and BigTurbines ? I know that's a lot of questions and that, maybe, my english level is a bit poor to express clearly my questions. But I hope I made them (my questions) understandable.

Best regards and I'm looking forward to see your answers and experiences.
