The firewall or AVG it's self?

Just so you guys know, the log is just saying that it's downloading, it isn't telling a crash log.

This is not just the launcher, it is normal Minecraft as well! A mod told me to post here so I will. Minecraft/Technic works on my laptop so it's not a conection problem, and I tried to disable my firewall but it didn't work. Error Messages: None Error Log: Log won't help

About the anti-virus part? I have Norton on my laptop and my Desktop

Hello, I'm new here, well, to the new layout. So, with the topic. When updating any Minecraft version (tekkit, Vanilla Minecraft etc) it will freeze at random percentages. It's not my internet as for I can update Minecraft and all that other stuff on my laptop. But on my desktop it will freeze. It always did this starting at 1.8. If anyone can help, thanks!
