After launcher, a window opens frozen on a white screen

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Java Version: Java 6 Update 35 Antivirus Program: Description of Problem: After i have selected the modpack and logged in, a window opens but is frozen on a white screen. lwjgl is not activated in options and i cannot toggle this. i have tried deleting META-INF as said in COMMON PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS but the same white screen appeared. Error Messages: None Error Log:
