I tried hitting save, and nothing noticeable happened. I tried "save as" but the only thing it would let me save it as was a .txt I saved it as IC2AdvancedMachine.cfg and it prompted to overwrite. I confirmed but it still reverted when I opened the launcher.

Hi! I'm wondering how to edit the .cfg files found in the config folder in the technicssp. I'm trying to turn the sound off for advanced industrial craft machines because it's lagging my computer horrendously This thread here http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/activated-advanced-machines-are-creating-lag.27717/ had the same issue as I had (laggy IC2 advanced machines) and I'm trying to get the same fix by commenting out the three sound lines but the changes are not saving. I'm opening the files with notepad. The files stay changed until I open the launcher, at which point they immediately turn back. I've also tried changing them while the game is running, but it changes back then as well. Thank you very much for any help!
