We just need whoever maintains the configuration files to have the time to update it. It's only been a couple of hours. Let's just be patient because this stuff is a lot of work that they do mostly for the love of the game :D

I have also deleted the .techniclauncher folder and gotten the same result.

I have the same issue on a new installation this morning. I think the key is: [08:25:35] [sEVERE] Downloaded 'minecraft.jar' does not matche MD5 of any known minecraft version! 1.4.5 was released this morning, and I don't know how techniclauncher works or how it goes about looking for the 1.2 binary, but I gather that might be what sparked this problem.
