So, second help post in like 2 hours, sorry! It's just that the new tekkit has very little documentation. So I set about building a nether portal from obby, using the normal method of cutting the corners using 10 blocks in total, but it won't light? is there a special new way to get to the nether in the new tekkit?

Hi, So I downloaded the new tekkit, last time I played was with the older version, so this is my first experience in the New Frontier version. Anyway, I spawned in a rather massive ocean, on an island, after sailing for quite a while I found an Island I like. after exploring and building, I built my base in a pocket dimension, which I love, by the way. Anyway, here's my problem, I can't find a village anywhere! I need emeralds for the tinker table, and I can't find any extreme hills biomes to try to mine emerald either, can someone help? Thanks
