Launcher says "unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net"

try using your email address as your username. does this with me if i try using my minecraft username -

does this with me, just try using your email address instead of your username to log in. This is if you have your email associated with your account. I have to log in with my email address(email address signed up to mojang) and if i try logging in with my minecraft username it comes up with the same error as you. -
install newest 64 bit java.
