yep uninstalled 2 older versions and reinstalled the 64 bit JRE and i can now get it back up to 4 gb thanks for the help

I was running my tekkit classic server perfectly on 4 gbs but after a windows update and system reboot i had to set they usage down to 1gb for some reason not sure if its my system being a pain or the updates doing some extra background routines i run a 64 bit java on windows 7 home premium with 8 gb of ram
