A short blurb about why you want to play on this server (What you're looking for, what you'd be excited to do, etc.):

I'm looking to join an AoTB-T server because single player is getting boring. The way my computer is set up, I cannot host servers without extreme lag, and I can't afford a rented server. I feel this server is perfect for me, because public servers have too many people, and always have those jerks who won't leave you alone. Being in a private community, you learn to like everyone else on the server, and it can be a lot of fun. I'm good at many things in this modpack, and I'm willing to help out others if they can't get a system or two working. I'll gladly answer any other questions if you so choose.

  2. That seems like a damn good connection to me...

Perhaps the server isn't powerful enough....

Also, I am no expert. But there are always the obvious things to check

I've re-downloaded it, put tons of RAM on it, made sure all my java stuff is up to date, restarted my computer, restarted my internet, I've even downloaded MCPC+ and made it bukkit, and tried many different anti-lag plugins. The "lag" is simply block lag, where we destroy it, and it comes back and needs to be redestroyed, or pops up for a second, and then drops the block.

  3. I updated the java, and the lag only got worse. After reducing the ram, it was even worse again. It's like this on pretty much any modpack, but running LAN with my friends has no lag. However, vanilla minecraft has NO lag, and actually runs at very high speeds.

  4. Go to your %appdata% directory, find the .technic folder, and delete it. If you don't have .technic, and/or it does work, delete the .techniclauncher folder if you have one. If that doesn't work, not sure. This solved my friends problem.
