They provide access to upload your own jar. It's not a work around or anything. They allow it so that you can run a mod without bugging them to add it. They already have defaults for tekkit, FTB, and bukkit etc. just not tekkit lite yet. Hopefully they'll add it soon...

Similar question. My server host has tekkit as a simple drop down option under server configuration, but does not offer an easy tekkit lite option at the moment. They do allow me to upload my own jar file though. Will that allow me to setup a tekkit lite server, or is more complicated than uploading the .jar file from the tekkit lite server bin folder? Any hand holding guidance on how to do this would be much appreciated! TIA
