    Deleting the Java 7 runtime and reverting to this version: java version "1.6.0_37" fixed it for me.

    Same problem, OSX 10.7, reinstalling tekkit launcher does not help. I'm running the latest Java, which vanilla minecraft has no problem with. Going to try rolling back the Java version.
