After days of searching, I did dig deeper into the forums and found this fix for this problem: Posting it here if someone else is having the same problem.

Launcher Version: Newest(01.02 -13) Operating System: Win7 Home Premium 64bit Java Version: 7u13 both bit versions. Antivirus Program: Kaspersky Description of Problem: When I try to launch the TechnicLauncher.exe, I get a error message: Error Starting launcher Cannot load: C\User\username\AppData\Roaming\logs When I click on the OK, it gives me this message: Error Starting launcher Requested registry access is not allowed. at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.OpenSubKey(String name, Boolean writable) at TehnicLauncher.Program.GetJavaFileAssociationPath() at TehnicLauncher.Program.LogBasicSystemInfo(TextWriter log) TehnicLauncher.Program.Main() This is what I get, even when RUNNING IT AS ADMIN. I've searched through the forum and the internet for a solution with no luck. I've reinstalled java and .NET least twice by now in vain. The launcher does create the .techniclauncher and log folder, but that's about it. It doesn't create any files or subfolders inside(I've posted the log "launcher_init" in the error log section). The few posts I've found with similar problem has either been unanswered or the solution doesn't work for me. For example, asking friend to send his .techniclauncher folder and files to me. Downloading the Jar edition of the launcher and try to run it with both java.exe and javaw.exe. Long time has since passed when I last did play, so I cannot think of what could possibly cause this problem. Thank you.
