Outdated mods/ Server mods ahead of my own

Did not work, I can't get on anything but minemod. Got any other ideas? -
Apparently when I try to join a server, I get an error message saying my mods are outdated. I've gone on SP where it says you have 6 outdated mods etc., but it doesn't give any hint as to how to update the mods. It's really starting to piss me off that I can only get on Minemod, and as of now it's whitelisted. I need to either learn how to update the mods or the pack, but I need an answer soon.
