im-no-chump

i open the launcher, and then select a mod pack and type my user name and password. Then whenever i click log in it says i have an invalid username and password combination. I have tried reinstalling the launcher, and even changing my password. Im absolutely sure im typing in the password correctly, and i have tried tons of times, i also checked mulitple times on technic platform (the website), and i can log in fine there. my username has "-" in it multiple times. is this part of the problem? please help so i can play. ps. this did not just start happening, i was never able to log in
