The problem is though, yes what you said is a valid option, it didn't work for me. I looked at the debug console, for some reason the launcher itself keeps trying to access the minecraft.net and technicpack.net servers rether than switching to the offline mode and reading the data from your own personal modpack files when there is no internet connection present. I'm not sure if anybody other then me and Jim1971 are having the same issue, it could be a problem with the version of java, which I doubt though because it was working fine before the beta version became the new update and I tried the beta version before it became the update and the same problem appeared before I though it would be fixed when it was released so I should of probably came forward about it a few days ago when I noticed it the first time. If anything it's the launcher it'self have a buggy compatibility with the java or the new launcher will no longer support offline. Often the easiest solution is the best one.
