how can you tell what the problems are, or rather how can i figure this out myself so i dont have to bother you everytime somethings goes wrong. also Thank you very much.

I've been putting together this mod pack http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/test-11114.307732 and everything use just fine until i added Mekanism http://aidancbrady.com/mekanism/ Now It crashes before minecraft even comes up

i've been trying to make this modpack http://www.technicpack.net/modpack/details/test-11114.307732 for weeks, and it stoped working when i added mekanism. If someone could help me figure out the problem, that would would be awesome.

is there any way other than trail and error to find which mods or versions dont work with each other?

Im trying to make a modpack, but i dont understand what the config files are or how to get them or if i even need them. Nothing i've been able to find over the past few days has done more than just mention that they exist.
