[Updating a Server from 1.0.1 to 1.1.3]

I was thinking about doing that...is that really the only option?

I have searched and searched for a way to do this without breaking all of the stuff me and my players on my server have built, and when I insert the map into the new server, all the machines, power armor, and everything relating to the previous Voltz is gone.

I may be missing something obvious, but I'm not very good at this server thing, so I would really appreciate any answer. If it can't be updated without losing items, etc., please just tell me why. Thanks.
