Hi so I've been wanting to use the Technic pack to play on a friends server but when I use the launcher it opens and says "checking laucher version" then closes straight away. I have tried using the suggested solutions like getting 64 bit Java (yes my Windows is 64 Bit,) but to no avail. Anyway the other solution I see is using the .Jar and I'm unsure of how to do this, yesterday I was trying to use it and when I opened it windows told me it did not know the program to open it with so I used Winrar to open it, as I have used it for the minecraft.Jar in the past I assumed it was the correct choice, but now it is using Winrar as standard to open all .Jar files so my question is how do I use the .Jar exactly to get Tekkit working so I can play on my friends server?
