I was having this problem, first I uninstalled and reinstalled techniclauncher. Then I uninstalled and re-installed java (which is still causing me all sorts of problems.) Neither of these things helped, then I went to the options screen on the login page and cleared my cashe and that solved my white screen problem. Hope that helps someone!
