Help!!! Whenever I launch a modpack I get a white screen!

How to fix it -
I try to increase PermGen but nothing changes, so yeah I'm pretty much screwed.I love Tekkit .

I really want to play Tekkit Classic and all the other mod packs but whenever I try launching it just shows a white screen. Any help or suggestions?
