Yes, this is what happened to me. I hope there will be some way to install it on mac soon, since I have a slow computed, and Optifine helps with the lag.

I don't know..... when I install Optifine into the modpack.jar for hexxit, the game loads as vanilla minecraft. Don't know what's going on here, but I'd love some help.
