Launcher Version: 1.6 Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit Java Version: 7 Antivirus Program: Kapersky Description of Problem: Ok so I did a lot of research into this and it took me all night but I have come up with a fix for the issue lots of us are having. I recently restored my computer and had to start fresh with minecraft. I was having the issue when i started the technic launcher and the the minecraft launcher both I would get an error with java or what ever and it would download the stuff and launch the game but after the FML stuff it would launch the game with a black screen that pomptly closed itself. SO long story short I found out it was not java, it was not the lwjgl file. It was indeed a problem with my drivers. So I have a radeon HD 5870 and far as I knew my drivers were up to date. Wow was I wrong... so here is what I did and I am now playing with no problems. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO TURN OFF FIREWALL AND ANY AV YOU HAVE OR SOME THINGS MAY NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL RIGHT First download the newest version of Catalyst Suite. DO NOT INSTALL... Uninstall any programs in your program menu with Either AMD Catalyst or ATI REBOOT Run Driver Fusion (located here http://treexy.com/products/driver-fusion) ( you only need the trial not the full version) Remove ALL AMD family drivers (you wil get a message that not all could be removed go ahead and ignore that) REBOOT Install the new Catalyst Suite and update everything. Oh and Yes I have tried disabling firewall/AV

With that said this may be a very easy fix that I am overlooking. I open the launcher and select my mod pac (tekkit lite in this case) it downloads the files and extract them, launches the pack with the white "hello" screen as normal and does all that jazz, then a black screen comes up were I am thinking if i remember right is were the Mojang screen is supposed to be and then out of no were the black screen closes and nothing else happens... IDK what the heck I am doin wrong there is no error messages or nothing it just simply doesnt start... Error Messages: none Error Log:
