If you have migrated your Minecraft account to a Mojang account, then this could be your solution! I have noticed a lot of people saying that they were only able to play in offline mode because it could not connect to minecraft.net. The solution is to use your email instead of your username when logging in!

If your account has migrated to a mojang account, try using your email instead of username.
