I was stupid not to post any further information regarding my problem, but I don't think I need to, as you are probably right in assuming this is not the same problem. I apologize for that.

I have been having a very similar problem, on Windows 7. The main difference, however, is that a 2.0 server does work. 2.1.1 has basically the same crash as you, but 2.0 works fine. This is a problem that needs to be fixed.
