Maybe if you added the ability to disable frame types help alleviate some of that, or does it disable if you just set block id to 0? Personally I like it how it is if you give it more difficulty I would leave this current usage as an option. -

I am calm...just saying I never really considered it to be mostly random as if its x z relative you should know about where it ends up, I understand your tardis remark now, my thoughts were more like doc browns time machine skipping dimensions instead of time. What could be really awesome about the link thing however is it wont really need to be cross dimension it could be used as a gravity drive of sorts between locations in a single dimension. A question nobody asked yet is would and of this be able to take entities or will it be more anything living wont go? -

I understand the reference however I dont understand the comparison here. I dont care how it works or if it ever does work, im just passing out possibilities on the simplest methods I can think up, you can either take the idea or leave it at the door, either way is the same to me, It is your mod not mine or anyone elses here, make it hows best for you.if the easiest thing for you is a link by all means do that. Basically teleportation vs dimensional shifting, both are awesome and never done with carriages, but neither is necessary. Do your mod your way . I would much rather have redstone in motion continued in your vision, than have you become a slave to the community, get tired of it, and quit developing it. -

As I stated im my edit I would borrow how the neither gate spawning works to find a suitable place if that required an entity why not spawn a bogus one and iuse that for location purposes and despawn iy when the transmission is done as for what dimension you can use a simple 1 or 2 color identifier for that for either up to 16 worlds or 256 worlds for two colors. Or you could guess and check and if blocks are in the way stop the transmission with a "something is blocking your entrence" -

Alot of back and forth here, would it be possible to remove from one map and rebuild itself on the second map using relative x, z positions? That sounds easier than all this linking business? More secure too as there is nothing to find...or are there limitations to the minecraft engine preventing something like this? Edit:perhaps utilizing however minecraft generates neither portals, twilight forest generates ground portals or how galacticraft generates its landing area? -

Instead of teleporting would deleting itself from one world and rebuilding in the other be feasable? I dont have mystcraft so I wouldnt use it myself, but brainstorming possible solutions I do enjoy. -

How I would handle it (I unfortunately am not a modder so code wise this may not even make sence) would be treat them wouldcbe branch out the logic like a tree branch from the original motor possibly deactivating each n calculating the next logic set and once the calculations are done on whats moving move the object as a whole if there is any conflicting parts it wouldnt work just like any of the carriages.. After reading that it does sound very complex so, was just a cool idea but not necessary in any way your mod already is the best frame mod out there for any minecraft version. On secont thought wouldnt it make more sence to take the blocks that *would* move based on each template type and move it all using one giant template logic? Instead of performing every logic then making the move. Or could be limited to like types where combining could be simple like maybe template+template. -

I have an idea that could work well in your mod....forgive me if it already works like this as I am at work and unable to try it. If the different carriage types can link say if a normal carriage is in a template spot it moves that carriage set with its rules at the same time was the template carriage... or vice versa, maybe even linking pultiple part template carriages together by putting a template carriage in another template carriages field. If this is possible it would drastically increase the dynamics and maybe allow for more modular setups and vehicles. I havent found any more bugs since the 1.1.1.1 update its been working great, and the 1.2 update is spectacular. -

The bugs i mentioned now appear to be squashed! i can craft camo with no issue and the red alloy no longer appears to freeze, there is a low priority astetic bug where the frames move about a space and a half then jump back up to 1 space. Nothing big or in any way gameplay or mechanically problematic. this was noticed using the template frame and may or may not apply to any others. i didnt notice it before but i didnt get to play with it much either btw...template frame? best idea ever! I look forward to seeing the visual indication for template pattern, an idea(if yours still not sure) is if you use a screwdwiver on a patterend block it shows the template in a wireframe style and click it again shuts it off. -

this may or may not be a bug in your mod, as im running so many mods that something may be messing with the crafting aspect, but just in case something was overlooked im putting it here, i am unable to craft the camo blocks, i try to put a standard frame with another block(vanilla or mod) it shows on the left side for a fraction of a second then disappears. Again there is a good chance this has nothing to do with your mod (gregtech messes with alot of the recipe stuff) but just in case. -

thank you, awesome mod though, I look forward to what it matures into it already has better ideas than the original, and seems to run a bit more efficiently, but i also havent really built anything massive yet (just elevators at the moment), and about the wire, the magic number seems to be 5 alloy wires at least on my client, it can move 1-4 without issue, and i am using the standard redpower behaving frames and the redpower way, without the camo, if that has any weight into the problem.
