It does the same thing. I am just hopelessly lost on this.

Finally, someone else with this problem. I don't know why. It is just so weird. All of a sudden it just started happening. After I press the login button when I put in my username and password, it loads for a second, then says "Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?!

Please, can someone help. I have absolutely no idea whats wrong.

That didn't fix it. I will copy and paste what it says when I try to open up anything and play through the launcher. Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net. I'm not sure how to fix this. I've tried re downloading it but to no avail.

The firewall is off, but still doesn't work. I feel it has something to do with that automatic server making thing for Mac Casper made.

I'm not entirely sure what else to add. I'm able to log on to the normal Minecraft client. However, this happened around the same time I began trying to make a Tekkit server. If it helps any, I'm also on a Mac.

It's not new and this only started happening a few days ago.

Didn't find anything like it. So can someone give me an idea? Also, my account is premium.

Whenever I try to log in to something on the Technic pack with the launcher, it says it can't authenticate my account. What should I do?
