Okay ill spawn a new singleplayer w/o cheats and try to find them and see if that works. Normally I keep cheats on just in case I need a command block lol

No im on normal, I never switch to peaceful.

Does creative mode change that? The most recent pirate ship I dont think I was in creative mode, it was huge with TnT cannons near a village but nothing spawned.
