where do i find out my JAVA version, Technic Launcher version, and Error Log?

Launcher Version: the one before 1.6+ Operating System: HP Windows 8 Pentium inside Java Version: How do i find this out? Antivirus Program: TREND MICRO Description of Problem: Each and every time i start up ANY mod, even the ones that come with the launcher, it shows the FML loading screen thingy, but it starts up the original minecraft, not the one with the modpacks in the mod. It is very odd, and i need help! Error Messages: N/A Error Log: where is this?
