[9-10 minute Redstone pulse lengthener possible?]

I am trying to find a way to have a setup where a short redstone pulse, like one second, can keep a signal sent for about 9 minutes. I know you can do the lengthener with the Rednet controller, but 12 seconds is not near long enough. Is there a way to get this accomplished with Computercraft?

To clarify, I want the signal from a pressure plate (short burst) to keep a sticky piston engaged for about 9 minutes before turning off. Any help would be hugely appreciated :)
