Do you know of any way to actually get the outdated version of essentials?

I started hosting a small Tekkit classic server for me and my friends. The issue I'm having is getting Essentials installed. I got the Essentials plugin from the bukkit site here http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/essentials/

 

I took the essentials.jar and put it into my server's plugin folder, but when I boot the server and type /plugins the Essentials plugin is highlighted in red. I really don't know what's going on, or how to fix the problem.
