Shameless Bump

So I have the Tecnic Launcher and have been having lag issues. These got narrowed down to being unable to assign more memory through the Launcher. My Computer has 8gb of RAM so that is clearly not the issue (assuming I'm not pants-on-head retarded). Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may have done wrong?
