Ok, so I uninstalled both the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of java 6 from my machine. Reinstalled the 32 bit version, did a moondance as the post above suggested, and it finally worked. So uh... yeah, thanks for the help.

I just downloaded the newest version of the Technic launcher (1.0.1.1) and unfortunately, I have the same problem... Any suggestions?

I've tried deleting the files in the .techniclauncher too... Unlike you though, I can't even get to the main part of the launcher with the tumblr feed on it.

Launcher/pack Version: 0.5.4.9 Operating System: Windows Seven 64 bit Version of Java: 7u3 (x64) Description of Problem: When starting up the Technic Launcher from either the exe or the jar it hangs on the splash image that says "Technic Launcher." It doesn't show the launcher in windows task manager, so I have to shut down java from the processes tab to get rid of it. Error Messages: N/A (Hangs on the launcher splash image.)
